For a team so disciplined and calm with the goat (smith) we sure do rattle them for whatever reason.

I genuinely can’t put my finger on it but for whatever reason we worry them. They would have smoked most teams tonight and we blitzed them. I think they panic when option A B and C don’t work when sides can defend them. We have a defensive system (as do the chooks and bunnies) who can repel them.

Also their halfback options stink. Will stop them from winning a comp
The part I was very proud of tonight with the team was that time where we had to defend 7-8 sets in a row because of a few ridiculous penalties but then we scored out of nowhere. The refereeing in that game was pretty poor standard especially in the 2nd half. They got away so many times with penalties which should have been awarded for us but they get just about every single penalty awarded for them that 2nd half. Seemed as though Klein tried his best for Melbourne hahaha.

Did anyone ever get nervous for a single second on Holmes' last kick of the game haha? For a bit it looked as though Melbourne could have got there within that kick hahaha.

Haha yeah on T.V. it looked like it was only gonna land a meter or so out.

The play by play Channel Nine commentator (can’t rememebr his name) legit went crazy when it was in the air haha.

They genuinely hate us that much. It actually puts them off their own game. Probably similar to how we are with manly we always play like scatter brains.

Was almost charged down, don't know what he was thinking. Two hands around the ball, surrender in the tackle.

It's so good to watch. That pass to Finucane on the last tackle, Smith kicking out on the full by a mile, Slater panicking, when do you ever see that **** from them. Love it.

I used to think it was because of our niggle and aggression but I mean surely they would have figured out this is what we are going to do?

I think we move them around the park well, early spreads and plenty of offloads and line speed. This is how you beat Melbourne (but not necessarily other clubs).

Anyway, listening to Melbournes conference, why can't they accept we played better then them today & stop going on about Ryans injury when they got away with so many Chicken wing tackles themselves during the game haha.

Bellamy is usually fairly reasonable and gives us some credit but after racking up a number of losses against us he is prob getting a bit over it ha ha. It's not like Flanno goes out of his way to give oppositions a pat on the back either.
Craig as a coach is prob more concerned why his team started flat and executed so poorly than how well an opposition team plays, although he must have some concern around how Flanno keeps formulating good plans to counter his own.

Really s**** me to tears when they pick out 1 incorrect play the ball in the match (Woods)

Check out the play the balls of Glasby (52 min ) and Bromwich (64 min) .

Both atrocious and should have been pulled up.

Starting to think that Klein is more of a problem than Sutton....

Woods ptb that got called was atrocious but there were plenty from both teams where the player didn't rise to his feet to play it, i prob didn't mind the ref letting it flow in those cases but yea doesn't help with consistency

I wish we'd give Noodle more early ball, especially while he has Duges outside.
That would involve Chad passing it beyond Lewis

Too me it just looked like we had them shell shocked from the outset, first set of the game. They had their moments but a team like Storm will but the majority of it we just outplayed them. Whether Melbourne thought they'd have the game easy cause it was in Melbourne & our form last week but just goes to show every game is different. We could have scored more tries had a few of our players Luetele especially passed it out wide earlier a few times to our unmarked winger.

After last weeks game I thought our season was pretty much done. The desire wasn’t there, the polish wasn’t there and there was just no energy or urgency in defence. It’s amazing what a week in footy can do. The boys really showed yesterday that they want to play finals and not just make up the numbers but give it a real good crack. That was probably the best game we have played in 12 months and at the right time of the year. Proved me wrong by a long shot.

We can get up against the big sides when our backs are against the all but the trouble now is finding the same consistency and drive when we are expected to win. These last 3 weeks will be very interesting. Historically we are slow finishers, even out premiership year we lost what 5 of our last 6 or something like that.

Either way that win means nothing if we can’t back it up against the cows this week. They are arguably on e of the inform teams of the comp right now so they definitely won’t be push overs. Just need the 2 points anyway we can get without injuries!!

I tell you what though, all the raps Scott has been getting this year....I wouldn't swap Noodle for him in a million years.

This early into his career I don't think I would swap Noodle's for any other centre. If I were forced to trade I would need a player like Latrell Mitchell to make me feel better about it, that's how highly I think of Jesse

Genuine try scoring centres are becoming rarer and this is just early days for him

They have figured it out. Bellamy's talked about it in the media, but it's still a problem for them.

Scott wasn’t great yesterday, he’s not instinctively attacking as Jesse but he ticks just about all the boxes & defensively is very good although Duges bumped him off easily & he didn’t even get back on side.
