What is you main area of concern ?

To be honest Egg I don't know. He seems like a solid player but just haven't seen much from him that would terrify the opposition. And by terrify I don't mean by being a tough ****, I mean terrify in the sense he can make something happen. Maybe he'll get to that level I don't know.

I know he is only 21 and in the development stage but I just have this horrible feeling he's peaking now with his ability. I'm not sure he can get much better.

I love the tries he put on last weekend. The pass to Tracey was a great one and looked very smooth. The other one was a good change of direction I guess and a good example of playing what's in front of him.

Please don't get me wrong. I really hope he can step it up and be a first grader for a long time. I'm just yet to be convinced that's all.

Make something happen? Mate have you been watching him? He plays what's in front of him rather than structured footy all the time.

He's always trying to make something happen.

There’s the key word. It’s not happening enough.
I don’t know I’m probably not making much sense.

Anyway it’s just my opinion that’s all. Like my wife says I’ve been wrong before.
Something we’re probably not going to agree on for a few years yet. :)

I hope so mate. Fingers crossed he can do it.

Thanks Mate for your honest opinion .
I suppose time will tell .
I'm fairly upbeat about his chances but my opinion of Pele hasn't stacked up yet .
( defence especially )
So all good

I hear you Chad. I think it's like you said, we haven't seen that much of him and what we've seen hasn't been super convincing. It's not to say he won't get there with experience. He might make the same leap Kennedy has. I just wish he was the kind of player that lept out of the blocks and demanded the jersey... Would make us all rest easier!

I love Tracey but how annoying would it be to play wing, centre and halves in 3 different weeks.

I get the whole play anywhere for the team blah blah but it must be frustrating being shuffled and hard to get into a rhythm

Tracey probably didn’t know he was playing centre until Moylan pulled out and caused a reshuffle in the backline.

I’m Connors biggest fan, but I think he best get use to being a mr fix-it, I have a feeling his NRL career will be the 14 or the guy plugging a gap.. it’s a 17 man game now so ain’t no shame in that. Our team is better off with him somewhere in the 17

He's getting close to a starting gig in a few teams running around at the moment. And it's obvious he wants that. We had him training at fullback to give him a crack at the spot in preseason. We find him a role or lose him is more my feeling. And I'd rather find him a spot.

Probably knew before that, when the centre withdrew and caused a spot at centre

I’ll go against the grain, I’m keen to see his he goes of gets another opportunity @ 6, I dare sag Fitz would be keen to look @ him as well with a view to seeing how he thinks CG will be best for 2022. I won’t be surprised to see Trindall given some game time in a secondary organising role when he comes on.

Atleast we don’t have to worry about Chad, his bag of tricks & dangerous 40/20’s

would have game managed the **** out of us to the point of physical exhaustion and mental disintegration - we have dodged a bullet

Looks like I’m not the only one who has doubts about Trindall.

Coach agrees with me too.

you don't have doubts about Connor @ 6? he has not looked good there in the past but has same problem as Trindall in not getting consistent minutes in the one position.

The big difference is that Trindall is a specialist half with a proper kicking/passing game and not a utility that looks unnatural in a play making position. Plus we lose Connors runs from our end and his finishing which we benefit from when he is played in the backline. I relise Chambers is back so we have to find a position for Connor and that prob won't be the backline now so that should probably be the 14.

Not starting Trindall halts the momentum and confidence he would have gained from last week just as it looked like he was starting to get going and find his feet.

I understand there is a peking order but that needs to be balanced with picking the best team and best players for each position while keeping an eye to the future.

I really hope Connor shows us more at 6 all the same, he's a more confident and hardened player this time around who better knows his team.

I think we'll lose this game.

is it possible for Shaun Johnson to disappoint 2 clubs in the one game?

No confidence in us this weekend sorry.

so same as every weekend

he's prob relatively happy just to have a starting spot these days and a decent contract extension under his belt - if he is frustrated I don't think it really shows, he gives it everything no matter the number on his back and seems to enjoy his footy

Doesn't it say something about the coaching staff's confidence if Tracey gets the 6 over Trindall? And we're basically happy to say now that it's Fitz making these calls, right? So you'd have past, current and future coaches all looking at Tracey over Trindall. I get the potential thing, but that's a lot of people seeing more potential in Tracey.

The big difference is that Trindall is a specialist half with a proper kicking/passing game and not a utility that looks unnatural in a play making position.

How many games has Tracey started in first grade in the 6? I think you're saying the same thing about Tracey and Trindall, but you just like Trindall more. And that's okay. Doesn't mean he deserves the gig. I mean, Nicho is killing it at fullback but looks like coming in as our Chad replacement!

Can't blame China for this one mate

I don't think he is happy as a super sub. Which is why he's getting a start at the six and was almost our fullback this year.
