I reckon that will be our team list on Tuesday. Such a shame that Capewell can't get a look in, but great that we'll have some healthy competition for those bench spots.

There is no way known to man that a bloke who has never played an NRL game is going to be trusted to play 80 mins all on his lonesome ownsome, there will be a reserve hooker. Having said that, I'm not thrilled at the thought of Brown on the bench. If he was any good he would have been picked up by another club by now.

What happened to Cherrington?

Are we really that confident Lee will come straight into the team? I hope he does as I feel the same way most do about Beale although he had a decent positional gam in the WCC. I can't see flanno not including Beale somewhere in the 17.

Don't see how that's possible.

If Flanno is serious about Williams, then I am thinking that Brailey is going to be spelled by someone that is already on the field.

The most likely is Chad, with Bird playing right half for a while , probably 10 mins either side of half time.

That might open up a bench spot for Capewell , even if we are full strength.

Chad at number 9 at any point of a game is a huuuuuuge stretch. But Peter Wallace made the transition and there may have been others. But for CT, no not now.

What about bird at 9 while young bloke has a breather. Just trying to avoid a 2 hooker rotation. Rather capewell on the bench than another so so hooker.

Move one of our greatest attacking players to hooker during the game?

Ummm no.

Good teams have 1 hooker.
Why can't Brailey play 80 mins?
Moving a half or centre to hooker during a game could not be a week to week strategy.

Having to swap hookers is bad enough. Don't wanna be switching 2/3/4 other positions to do it. If we gotta switch its 14 on for 9, not some cluster**** of 6 to 7, 4 to 6, 7 to 9 or any of that rubbish.

(In answer to SDK)

He'll end up being an 80 minute hooker but at the moment he's making the transition to first grade. It's harder, faster, tougher, more tiring and opposition teams would no doubt target him if they knew he was stretching it to maintain his stamina.

Even if we rocked up in 2017 with the same team we'd be up against it to go back-to-back.

Now we transition to a new #9 who will take some time. Next year he'll be better and we'll be transitioning to a new backrow and leadership. Flanno lining up the tiles for another tilt in 2020.

I think we will have to use a bench spot for Nu. At lease he can cover hooker and the halves.

Brailey will run out in #9 and either Nu or Mortimer will be on the bench.

Simples.
