I wouldn't mind seeing Parra win it. In saying that, if the Sharks had had the same problems with salary cap and management it would still be headline news.

Parra don't deserve to win in my opinion. And i'll go as far as saying that if they did, it would cheapen our efforts to win one last year.
Out of the Top 5 teams, we played the other teams 7 times. Parra played the others 5 times. Not there fault but we missed out of the top 4 by one game.

In those 5 times parra played us, we beat them, the roosters smashed them and they did well over the broncos. They played the storm when the storm had 5 or so players in origin. Parra had none all series. The last 10 rounds or so, parra had 2 byes, managed to beat the tigers by one, played the awful dogs twice, lost to Newcastle and played the depleted storm.

Looking back at our premiership , we won an amazing 15 in a row, fell away towards the end then in the semis, went to canberra without our captain, and lost Wade and won. We smashed the cowboys and came back to win the the grand final. Parra has already lost a game in the semis. Just saying

Didn't say they deserved to win, just that I wouldn't mind if they did.

We lost twice to the gold Coast. Enough said.

Never said we deserve to win it. I was comparing our last year victory to parras run. Thanks anyway

I agree ragin. I see 2017 as a missed opportunity. Melbourne are the only side I rate. Brisbane would be thereabouts, but they're missing their hooker plus Boyd, at least for some of the finals.

Otherwise, the Roosters are a year away from being at their best - they have cap space to add Tedesco, one of the top players in the comp. They will also be able to bed down the Keary/Pearce combination and their young outside backs will be much more settled defensively next year.

Parra have had plenty of injuries too and again, are a year away from bedding down their best combinations. Moses and Norman have only been playing together for a couple of months and Gutherson is injured.

The Cowboys are obviously missing Scott and JT. They are playing above themselves and tbh, I think haven't been given enough credit. I think they could make a GF from here which would be an absolute credit to them.

Penrith have only been playing for about a month and again, have rookies right through the spine and are missing their captain. They'll get better too if Gus doesn't shaft the good ones for the next bright young 19 year old.

Manly have reserve graders floating about in their 17.

We had few injuries and enough talent across the park. Just didn't want it enough to turn in the sort of consistent performances that are required to nail down a top 4 spot and be confident of producing quality when the pressure is on. Disappointing.
