****s me mate, I'm just the dumb **** that tuned in every week and expected some changes but not our year I suppose. Maybe it's lack of hunger by 5% and that's enough to **** it. Look at our home games piss poor.

I like most of you spent a far bit of coin travelling around to see them and was let down by I guess attitude.

Amen mate I spent over $2.5k this year on the club for my family and feel a little ripped off. But hey that's footy I suppose. I just want them to want it as much as we do. I'm not speaking for every player and every game but there were times throughout the year where it was blindly obvious some players couldn't give a ****. Sunday was an example of players just not wanting it.

I think you are just confusing siiht underwhelming inconsistent play as not trying.. I don't believe that for a second..

I think the hardest part for me this year, was expecting so much more.

Pre-Premiership, you always went by the saying "maybe next year". Once it was won, it became "why not this year".

It's taken a hell of a lot of wind out of my sails, watching us come this far, but fail miserably. I couldn't possibly blame the ref's for us not completing sets all year and giving away so many penalties.

It's actually quite nice to have it over and done with TBH. It's been an extended version of origin for me. I'm glad it's over and I don't have to deal with it for another year.

I just hope next year we can have a drama-free season, with some players who actually want to play for the club... new blokes like Uele and Gray and Ramien will bring that added spark we need to dust ourselves off and try go for the big one again in 2018

Should've been rotating 2 0r 3 young players thru the team all year, but hindsight's a wonderful thing.
besides Gal, the young fellas have been the ones to show promise! Hopefully we can utilise that next year

How do we fix the attitude problem? I just can't see us changing this in 2018

I reckon the sudden first round loss in the finals is a what they need to adjust the attitude. The players seemed to play this year expecting to turn up and win some games without having to work for it. They also seemed to expect that things would change once the semi finals hit but didn't.
It would be tough mentally to prepare yourself for a premiership after last year. Even as a supporter it took me a few rounds in to the season to have the same desire i had all those years. Right now though it hurts pretty bad... and thats what it probably will take the players to really put in again.

I have thought along similar lines. I'm expecting that there's going to be a lot more anger and determination next year.

I think for the most part we showed a bad kind of arrogance after becoming premiers, coach included. Not a cocky confidence but more of an entitled arrogance. Thinking rules will be bent for us, that we'll get the rub every week, that opponents will be threatened by us. It showed in the WCC, round 1 all the way to last weekend. We defended extremely well for the most part all year, even with our attack nowhere near as polished as last years we seemed to be able to score when needed. Our ball control was our let down in attack which minimised pressure on the opposition and took away scoring chances.

2018 we dont go in as premiers. Less expectation and less reason to think our **** dont stink

Agreed, I've thought that and said that all year. That damn complacency.

There is a arrogance that the storm have on how they play their footy turn up win with just overwhelming pressure and clinical displays in attack and defence rinse and repeat week in week out .. our arroganance or ignorance was thinking just get there into the finals then flick the switch, then scream blue murder when we rolled out the same ill disciplined frantic nonsense that we had shown all year... we all make jokes about the game we had to lose to teach us a lesson.. maybe Sunday's was it. Let's start a 2018 kickoff countdown clock

Absolutely spot on. And the worst part is that it could've ended worse - Canberra had the same attitude this year, just waiting to switch on and win another 12 in a row to make a finals. But it never came.

I absolutely agree and I've held this belief all year.

In terms of end of season finish it's pretty much exactly how I expected our season to go, it was always going to be tough to recover the loss of Ennis/Barba.
