Got back from the game at 2am last night and although we didn’t get the result there was a lot to like from our performance too be honest.

We completed at almost 90% and created a lot of opportunities. That second half we camped them down their end and forced them to kick out of their 30m, set after set. Valentine looks hot at the back, Fifita was running straight and hard, and Townsend actually looked like a halfback!

The one worrying sign was the amount of missed tackles - need to fix that up coming into next week

Not going to blame the refs for the lose but my god there were some shockers, here’s to name a few
- Townsend ‘knock on’ - led to a try
- lee penalty - led to a try
- Lewis penalty after a great legs tackle
- they were offside all night (granted we were too)
- that first roosters try had a huge question mark over it... and losing graham because of it was huge in the context of the game
- the ‘strip’ at the end of the game - another 2 points

However we had our chances but how ****ing unlucky was Lewis to drop that ball... 99/100 he scores that .... it just summed up our night.

Wasn’t meant to be last night but I think we can dispose of the panthers relatively easily if we don’t get too ahead of ourselves and worry about the prelim and just get the job done...

I see a lot of cracks in the storm side and think we can give them a run for their money if we can get there.

Pray to the football gods graham is back for the prelim if we get there!

Chins up! We got this I am confident we can still get there.

Good post, well summed up, and the referee shockers would of been ok for mind if we had got a few back, but I can’t point to one that went our way.

The only thing that springs too mind was a penalty we got on their line for the same thing that Lee was penalised for... bit of a square up but overall yeah we didn’t get much at all.

Also another call I forgot to add was the sorenson crusher which went unpenalised

One of the worst rules in the comp is the 7 tackle restart. Understandable for teams deliberately kicking dead but the application of it for any turn over in the in goal is just atrocious.

Further to Sharyle's post, Lewis narrowly misses that try and we're further penalised by the Roosters being allocated a seven tackle set - which also led to a try.

Shouldnt have knocked it on then.

I like the rule.

Would have liked to see prior run a lot more last night put some footwork on em.. 2 runs for 16 meters. Plenty of tackles

However, he was a big part of that defensive effort in the second half while we were dominating

agree - the rule was never brought in for this, it was for kicking the ball dead and for having the ball caught in the in goal which i am fine with

we got negatively impacted by putting on a good play and happening to knock on, should just be a standard turn over not 7 tackles

The 7 tackle set rule is just another example of a rule change that the NRL makes for one reasons and then it has a completely different effect on the game than what was intended. Stripping rule, video refs, 40-20, downtown, etc. were all introduced for great reasons, but all changed the game (for the worse IMO) in unforeseen ways.

So Mr Potato Head reckons Dugan laid down.

Well its lucky he got to his feet at all.

It was a Chambers like grub act.

Mitchell should get 2 weeks.

Latrell Mitchell charged grade 1 has 75 carry over points means he will miss qualifying final if he unsuccessfully contests it.

I’ve been a big fan of our coach this year.. but his decision to not play Ramien was just wrong. He would’ve created more chances then any other person in our backline that game, in which other team would Ramien not get a run ? Very upset because now we have an uphill battle each week we play

Moylan needs to back himself more he left it too late.

I agree Wizard.

Was Ramien 100% available ?

How do you see us lining up in the backs next week ?

He was 100% available, I seen him at the game and spoke to him. Could tell he was a cut up about sitting on the sidelines

I don’t know mate just angry that Dugan/Leutele got the nod over him, it only hurt our own chances..

So the next side that plays Roosters benefits from a grub act in our game Top system
