Id have to look it up but did Nicho, Paps and Munster ever have a full game with them playing in the 7,1 and 6? Would be chaos on the field with those 3 all on fire

I can’t remember Nicho starting in the 7 for them ..

Imagine a spine and all were firing of:

9. Grant
7. Hynes
6. Munster
1. Paps

FMD that would be bloody insane.

I'd say it is basically too many cooks, but they do it with Hughes and the other three so they'd make it work.
Hynes I think wants the ball in his hands more than Hughes though - Hynes averages 62 touches per game, Hughes 47.
I know some think Hynes does too much, I think let our star player touch the ball as much as he wants.

Munster has 49 touches average, Moylan 45
Pap 33, Kennedy 24

Hughes doesn't need to touch it as much due to Munster and Paps. Would be better if Hynes didn't feel like he needed to do as much.

Guess it depends whether you think Hynes feels he needs to touch it that much or whether you think he wants to touch it that much

Every chance he doesn't want to give away 25% if his touches

62 touches can be too much sometimes and it shows when he plays and overcooks it due to trying to do everything, there were a few games last year where he was not effective due to this and it led to mistakes/bad passes and kicks

Hughes is Nicho with a 2-3 year head start. Both are fantastic examples for everyone that a player with great fundamentals and a good brain can learn a new position after his 18th birthday and still end up good.

Hynes touches the ball a perfect amount for a main half, Cleary/DCE are around the same.

Has definitely settled into the shire.

Spoke to him today in the mall after seeing him around a bit, he actually said hello which was crazy!
He has picked himself up a mrs and said he won’t be leaving for a long long time
Would love to bump into him with my little fella.

Storm feeders have had some decent spines. Never that one though.

2019: Pap, Nicho (no NRL contract) and Grant with Todd Murphy
2017: Hughes, Drinkwater and Smith with Ryley Jacks
2014: Munster and Cody Walker (no NRL contract)

You can have a chuckle about Toddy Murphy, but that team was amazing. Q Cup teams figured out ages ago that the best teams are the ones with 7 who is with the team most of the time. Excluding the Falcons with Jacks (12 NRL games covering for injuries) no team has made the GF in the last 10 years with a halfback who was an NRL regular.

Nicho in 2019 was an absolute weapon. He was good the year before too, but that year he dominated.
