Still don't know if the kid has a kicking game... anyone?

Well he's played in the halves all his career up untill a few years ago so he does. Whether it's enough to be our main kicker not sure but there's NYC footage of him kicking FGs, and has a nice short kicking game. His Qcup stats suggest he wasn't there main kicker there either.

Though if Bellamy can get Hughes to be the main kicker in the team I'm sure Fitz can get Nicho to be the main kicker for us but lets see who our halves are next year. Dont feel like it's been played out yet

I think I read somewhere about a bloke who played a long career and won a GF with little to no kicking game... so, you know, I'm not assuming it's there.

I love everyone's confidence that Fitz will come in and almost immediately imbue everyone with freakish skills to fill gaps in our kicking, forwards, defence etc :)

I was watching a Sharks v Dragons game from back in 2018 the other day and it actually had Moylan kicking. Not all high kicks, he had some from inside our half to the oppositions 10 and 20 metre lines.
I had to replay the bit again to make sure it was Moylan. So I think it does exist but he probably hasn't had a chance to work on it much with all the leg trouble he's had.

Hopefully he has turned the corner with his injuries and can start working on his kicking game again!

Well if that’s how Burton plays without the stars around him I’ll take Hynes who’s been killing it without the stars

The side Nicho has been in is much better than that Penrith side. Hard to tell. Both will be very good players.

Hynes played without the entire soine and jesse bromich and still killed people

I completely appreciate that and I'm stoked we got Nicho. Penrith were awful last night though outside of JFH just about. I'm not sure any half plays well in that performance.

It's indicative of the Melbourne system that everyone who comes in seems to play well.

They are two different situations though. Melbourne have been bringing guys in one at a time as injuries hit. Panthers lost half their team from last week.

Wonder if it, just a little bit, made Ivan feel better seeing how Burton played

And melbourne are only one loss off first place now. Penrith have the rest of the origin period to manage here. Whether they play their boys next friday or not i dunno but they are gunna fade for a few weeks for sure.

Doubt it. If he stayed he would be playing centre or second row. Burton played like a centre playing six because that's where he's been playing all year. But if we were judging it solely on their last performance...

Passing: Hynes > Burton
Kicking: Burton > Hynes
Running: Burton > Hynes

Completely fair point also. Apparently they only had two sessions together according to Cleary.

He'll be playing centre from the rest of the year too... Then in the halves for the dogs. Better hope he has a good offseason i suppose

Doesn't mind a knock on either! Not his best game.

Thought he went great. One knock on when off balance after a line break, another after a stack of defence. Beautiful pass for a try. Was really impressed by his anticipation at fullback particularly in that sinbin period. A real footballer as they say.
