Well Burton only signed a two year deal with a player option. Maybe we can still get him in a couple of years.

Would have to say right now that we need a Burton more. But we're still a good way ahead with Hynes

Bloody Bomber ruined that didn't he, unforgivable that he couldn't close that deal.
All he had to do was be able to tell Burton who the coach was next year and we could have had him.

And that he would be partnering Hynes!

I hope the game we lost to the Bulldogs wasn't the clincher!

Just one of a long list of selfish actions by Bumber

same - and if it doesn't work you shift Nico to 6 and bring Trindal into the 7

Moylan to 14 or whatever

Yeah, or could just leave Hynes in 7 even, I get the feeling the number on their backs won't massively change how Hynes plays with either Moylan or Trindall

Still don't know if the kid has a kicking game... anyone?

I think he does but I don’t think it’s at the level just yet where he can be the only kicker in the halves and control the game. Which is what he’d need to do if they paired him with ****ing Moylan.

he averaged around 150 kick metres per game in those 2017/18 seasons for the cutters so I presume he was playing 5/8 in those years chiming in with grubbers and the odd clearing kick bit like Mozza in 2018

quality of the kicks I don't know but he had 8 forced drop outs over those 2 seasons and a poor goal conversion %(low 60) - who da **** gunna be kicking our goals?

his kick metres fell away in 2019 at the Falcons so I presume he played differently in a new team or was shifted to fullback

I know burgess did a post about Hynes , will have to go back and read it to get more context about his pre NRL years but it sounds as though he has worn the 7 as well as the 6

the good news is you don't have to have a natural kicking game, you can develop one and/or improve it but we really are going to miss this aspect of SJ for a while. might need Trindal to take up some of the slack, especially with Wade doing less of it and our hooker rarely chipping in and Kennedy is really just a grubber man

would very much like Moylan to take up kicking again , is having a solid year but surely he can't be kept on into 2022 with a non-expectation he will undertake a standard responsibility of his role and help out his new rookie halves partner
