I'm a pretty big Nicho defender, and think he's been unfairly slammed in here and in the media. However, we're in a window to win a comp over the next two years at least. Whether that happens or not will be in no small part due to whether we can get value out of him and AFB. Our two highest paid stars have to be consistently strong in order for us to find a gear worthy of a premiership. If either underdeliver I can't see it happening.

And he will continue to get slammed if he doesn’t improve his game and start performing in the big moments and games against top teams. That’s what comes with a million dollar salary.

It was actually how I read it the first time. I thought "****! @Gumby's jumped the shark for good this time. Must have seen Gladiator 2."
But even then Nicho played his last nrl game 22 days after Gutho did so not sure why he'd be expected to start training back the same week - especially with rules being in place about return to full training... and we saw a photo of him and other halves in WA for something too

Isn't it 6 to 8 weeks minimum?
But maybe the latest CBA changed that.
By my count, considering what @apezza wrote and what Hazelton had said about his return date (just about the same in fact), it looks like 10 weeks for some of the boys.
Lol. I said 6th or 7th just for fun (play on his jersey number)!

So players aren’t allowed to return to training within that time after their last game of the season?

Or clubs can’t request players to return to training within that time after the last game of tue season?
