100k guaranteed - I read that it would rise to around 500k if he makes the roster

Hayne?
Partially guarenteed contract.

Teams usually start pre-season/training camp with 90+ players. After the 2nd week of pre-season cuts are made to that roster. Then again after week 3 and after week 4 the final 53 man roster needs to be selected for the up coming reg season. Teams can 5 players on their practice squad that is outside of the 53 man roster as injury assurance.
so when does his salary get sorted. Or is it already sorted and it's up to him to guarantee it.

I know Floyd said something the other day but wasn't sure if that his final contract or not

Thought it was more than 5 players on a practise squad.

They know what they are doing in the front office - they sign guys up all the time on short contracts with little to no guaranteed money - its all incentive based and if you don't work out, see you later and on to the next guy.

Jordy is a top 5 reciever. Obviously it helps having the best QB in the league but your whole WR&TE unit will have to step up to compensate for his production. Rodgers relied on Nelson on hurried throws a tonne last year because he knew he could trust Jordy to haul in tough catches. Interested to see if Cobb can step up to #1.

Reggie Wayne is still a free agent, he could be handy for you guys. But thats not how the Pack operate so i doubt you guys even take a look.

I know how good Jordy is and there's no doubting his impact on our team. Rodgers still averages 250 yards and 2 TD's without Nelson. We'll be just fine. It won't be the record setting offense it was going to be but it will still be a high performing one.

By partially guarenteed i meant the money value. Incentives are in his contract to earn more. If he makes the 53 man roster his contract is locked in unless they release him

Hi NFL Fans - found a good list of the Hayne plan(e)
  • At 4pm ET on September 5, each team must reduce their rosters from 75 to 53.
  • Every player who hasn't been in the NFL for more than four years is subject
to waivers. The waiver process is a 20-hour period where any team can put in a
claim for a player who has been cut from an NFL team roster.
  • If the 49ers want to keep Hayne on their additional 10-man practice squad,
they have to hope no team adds Jarryd Hayne to their 53-man roster before midday
    on September 6.
  • Waiver priority goes in the order of last year's draft, so the Tampa Bay
Buccaneers would have first crack at Hayne, followed by the Tennessee Titans,
Jacksonville Jaguars, Oakland Raiders, Washington Redskins and New York Jets.
  • Hayne would leave under the current contract he has with the 49ers, which is
    a three-year deal worth $US1.58 million ($2.22 million).
  • If no team selects Hayne in the 20-hour waiver period, the 49ers have the
chance to add him to their 10-man practice squad. However, Hayne is also free to
take up offers from rival clubs who can pick him on their practice squad or
    active roster.
  • If no team picks up Hayne, which seems highly unlikely, the future is in
    Hayne's hands.

I expect he would picked up off waivers if he is (unexpectedly) cut...
