So a mate of mine at work, more clued up on the NFL than I am, reckons Hayne has done remarkably well to make the cut at the 49ers but really doesn't seem him making much of an impact or getting much game time.
So far he says, he's been up against 2nd, 3rd or 4th stringers and has certainly shown them up but will find it so much tougher against the big boys.

Good luck to Jarryd Hayne, what he's done is a great effort but I think the media is getting a little overexcited.
Its hard to say how it will pan out...he is already so far ahead of predictions - even the most positive person would be hard pressed to say that they had him going so well. Some reporters have said that it will be a remarkable effort if he even gets very minimal game time this year alone - but he has done so well that I think Tomsula has to give him a go. The 49ers aren't predicted to go that well and if that happens and he hasn't had much game time there may be pressure from the public to make it happen (like Bird and Valentine for us).

Bad luck Mr Wright - Bears didn't get the win but only a Cutler intercept on a game winning drive got in the way. I hope this is a sign of good things. Unfortunately for the Bears they have to play Arizona and that's a tough gig itself - you may go 0-2 playing good footy...
