I hope I do eat my words, I really really do,

I want nothing more than to watch the Sharks win a premiership b4 they become insulvant or merged with Parra or relocated to C/Coast or Adalade or something.

I just dont see Ricky having what it takes to do it, nor does Gould,

And Gould has confirmed what I have been saying for years, As it turns out Stuart has taken Goulds advice and seeked help. Help from Wayne Bennet.

I just think Stuart needs to realise he has nothing, swallow his pride and get help

Id hate to be in the trenches with some of you blokes remember Gals wanted out until we got sticky do you think Barett or toups would of come over if we still had Raper Stcky is hurting and so are the players but puting up posts of this kind is **** get behind the boys make a effort to get to games buy gear and be proud to wear it, take the jibes from other fans on the chin if your not 100% behind the team win or loose then Fvck off we dont need you If you cant find a extra mate to take to the footy with you to help lift the team your not trying hard enough its not what the Sharks or Sticky can do its all about what you can do for the Sharks

It's easy to support a winning team, it's not so easy to stick by a losing one.

Anyone can jump on a bandwagon, but not everyone can push a bandwagon uphill when it is stuck in the mud.

The true believers will continue to follow and feel the true satisfaction when we finally win the comp. The rest can go and support some plastic club like the Melbourne Storm for all I care...

So true Slide.
We still have 19 games to go, 38 comp points available.

Well that's pretty much the definition of a true fan, isn't it. I, like everyone else here, I hope, don't have a choice in who I follow. The Shire is my home the Sharks are my team and I will follow them through thick or thin. Certainly isn't much fun when the chips are down but that's life.

Go follow the Bronco's or Manchester United if you want a nice easy team that is always successful.

Yeah, that's what alot of people with no backbone do, they just follow the most successful club around so they don't have to deal with disappointment too much.

That's what really p!sses me off about the number of Dragons fans we have in the Shire. They don't have the guts to follow their team so they follow the Dragons 'cos of their successful past. At the end of the day though, it hasn't really brought them much joy - when was their last premiership? 77? Alot of these traitors weren't even born then.

I love the Shire but if there is one thing that drives me insane it is people who have lived here there whole lives, call it God's Country etc etc but don't have the guts to get behind their team.

The sad truth is, if we had more financial support from fans over the years, I have no doubt we would have been more successful.:rant

as everyone else has said before it aint ricky that is having pissweak on-field performances which in the end are the causes of our losses. as a coach it is his job to adress these failures and try get improvements from his players or just bring someone else in that can do a better job. but at the moment do we really have enough quality in the lower grades to make the step up to 1st grade and make this team sucessful straight away? i think not. i believe that ricky can swing this team around and get the best out of the players he has at his disposal. i think its stupid that once a team is under performing the 1st person to cop the blame is the coach

I have never decreased my interest in The Sharks just because they have a losing streak.
I could never follow another footy team and when we lose It doesn't hurt like It did when I was a kid. These days I just switch off after a loss and I'm thankful that we are still alive in the NRL so far cause that's the real threat.
BTW Ricky could be getting stale as a coach.

We can't afford to get rid of Ricky. As much as I don't like him as a coach I believe he is great for our club.

On the hypothetical replacement, would love to have Langy back although it wouldn't happen. The Replacement should be Flanigan. Trained under the best, has a 100% win record when he's taken over our team, brought the young roosters through undefeated, our next coach is in our own backyard.

And if for some reason Ricky did leave mid-season, you would think that he would at least become the interim coach, so he would have a chance to prove his worth.

People forget Sticky has a very good assistant in Flanagan who has cred also we have had at the time some of the best coaches in the game ie Gibson who were unable to win the cup don't bag Sticky FFS look what he has to work with, with the money we have he deserves better than copping knives in the back
