Love the Goodwin signing, but if we have him in our top 2 wingers we're in trouble.

Great depth for wing and centre though.

What's not to love. Good win... Good wing...

We have some depth now which is good, also puts pressure on others to perform.

If Nene comes back and is a but underdone and needs to take a spell we have some decent depth to fill in.

If he holds off at least two of Katoa, Ronnie & Nene and we aren't going well it's probably not his fault.

depends, his performance on the weekend was nothing short of solid considering it was his first game for the year

And given our injuries/youth solid was just what we needed. Still, you'd think we could get more out of Ronnie/Katoa/Macdonald than a 34yo Goodwin.

No disrespect to him, but could he be the slowest winger in the comp?

Would it be idea to have this guy on the bench in say 3-4 weeks? Similar to what Souths have been doing.

I don't think Goodwin is playing to lock down a four year deal, so I'm sure he's here with the remit to try and play as much first grade as he can and help bring the young guys through.

When he signed, the report said he was trying to earn a second year. No plans for a one and done from his point of view.

Imagine how the poor Roosters must feel with two old blokes in their backline, no way anyone over 30 can perform in the NRL

I guess he could be the slowest winger in the comp, probably haven't seen enough either way to be making that call though?

He's probably not on much and offers good coverage in the backs. Wouldn't be the end of the world to keep him for next year also.

If he's got it in him, great. But if we're starting him for more than a year I think we're in trouble, not just on the field but in trying to hold on to the up and comers.

Like most others, I am very happy to have him as a cover in the backline. Not too sure I want him ahead of Ronaldo, Nene or Katoa though. His experience around the club will be good for the younger guys for the rest of this year, but I would baulking in signing him up for 2021

Josh and Brett are freaks. I swear Josh's game last week was as good as he's ever played.

I did say a 34yo Goodwin, though. He was never quick, not even in his prime.

Anyway like I said, I'm v happy with the signing. He shouldn't lose us a game.
