They only run if they're bored and wanna make a game out of the chase. Otherwise they just teleport to where your gonna stop running and think your safe.

According to the profile on his brother Brett, they enjoy 'bare-handed pig hunting' ... hopefully that's taught them some tackling skills. I hear pigs are slippery buggers to catch.

I was told on the weekend Sharks have a kid who is 17 that has been signed from Southport rugby, originally from the country forget where from.

At 17 he is already the quickest by a country mile in the club.

He runs it (100m) in 10.27, which is still bloody fast in my books.

Position: Wing
Height: 190cm
Weight: 94kg
Nicknames: "Man Child"
Date of Birth (DOB) 07/05/87
Home: Glen Innes, NSW
Club: University (WA)
Super Caps: 0
Super Points: 0
(Have those two in for easy updating later on )
WF Gold Caps: 10 (9 Starts, 1 Bench)
WF Gold Points: 40 (8 Tries)
Honours:
Australian Sevens '06 (not sure '07, I think the full squad is back so he would be out)
Australian Under 19's '06
National Talent Squad '05
Australian Schoolboys '04-'05
Australian Youth Commonwealth Games Sevens '04
National Under 18 100-metre track champion

Hailing from the NSW country town of Glen Innes, Stapleton is a lightening quick winger who has posted a time of 10.27 seconds over 100 metres. A dual Australian Schoolboys representative, Brett is the youngest member of the Emirates Western Force senior squad (apprentice David Pocock is almost a year younger). Brett loves the outdoor country lifestyle, listing his favourite pastimes as camp drafting, bare-handed pig hunting and working sheep and cattle.

Anyone got the real deal on this guy? Is he 17 or 20?

If he is 17, and has run 100m in 10.27, then surely he is The Great White Hope (being the first whitey to run 100m in under 10).

The first white guy who runs 100m in under 10 will be financialy marketable for life.

If 10.27 is true, and he is 17, and he wants to play footy for the Sharks rather than chase a lifetime of World celebrity status, well *****, he must be one very confident young man.

Go you Sharkies.

Nathan is 17 turning 18 in 2 weeks, I met the kid last night, you should see the size of his calfs, F*ck me dead, he is fairly thick, not overly tall only about my height bout 5'11. Nice kid though he was telling me last week, he was training with NYC side, this week he has been brought into the NRL top 25 squad.

What you have quoted there BUZ, is his older brother Brett, who plays for Western Force. they can both run it seems.

Nathan said Ricky is looking at him as a fullback/centre, but mostly fullback.

Don't have a very strong squad. They had a open trial thats how bad they are going to be.

On the topic of NYC, Cronulla have been pro active which is good. Earlier on this year they tried to sign 2 promising Penrith players, Wade Graham and Daniel Penese. I love the way Penese plays. Also I'd love for us to chase this other player from Penrith Jesse Sene Lafao.

I have heard good things about Wade Graham, is he a hooker? I have heard he looks good, but I have also been told that the rest of their squad is not as good as hoped.

They actually had open trials because they wanted to start all again, ricky was not too impressed by a lto fo last years juniors, so he wanted to open the doors, they invited some players to trial, and they did, but I believe a lot of the invited players also were invited by other clubs, so they had a fair list of choices, and I doubt Cronullas' financial situation would of made for an appealilng option.

Lets put it this way, last years SG BALL, yes SG BALL side of Parramattas was worth 300k, Cronullas would of been lucky if it was worth 20k. That is how behind we are as a club, hence why Zappia and Ricky are trying to get more money in for the club. I really don't think people realise just how tough we have it as a club, but it will make our first premisership all the more satisfying when we get it.

Dunno if you were being sarcastic or not

thanks for clearing that up.

So we're after more high profile sponsors hey?

Anyone work in big business with a bit of a surplus to spend? anyone's business need a boost in advertising?

I really should become a paying member, even if it's only the lounge chair (or pub stool) variety.

Or just drink more alcohol when I go to the games.
