About the closest I've ever gotten to an interest in motorsport was as a kid having a Corgi Cars model 1964 Bluebird CN7 (Donald Campbell broke the land speed record driving the real one in 1964 at Lake Eyre) which went real quick on my Hot Wheels track.

A mate had a pretty sweet Scalextric set-up too - that was pretty cool.

For me it's heaps fun driving fast but watching other people driving fast is all a tad boring. As a spectator, I reckon motorsport without alcohol is equivalent to horse-racing without gambling.

This is my 19th straight year coming to Bathurst and this is the weirdest race I've ever seen here. This is intense!

That was all Whincup fault right? I don't know any thing about racing.

No, team strategy. He ran out of fuel on the last lap. They thought he would just make it, he fell three corners short. He rolled over the line with no fuel.

As soon as the the 2nd last safety car came on lap 133 was always gunna be a crazy finish with several diffferent strategies.
I'm so Happy for Morris, have been following him since the old 2lt days and his epic battles with longhurst

For me that's the closest a V8 race has finished in similar fashion to NASCAR.

Webber about to finish 3rd for Porsche in Japan aswell.

We are never going to see a race like that ever again. That was crazy. Great drive by Chaz. I'm trying to hate him for it, but I just can't. Good on him.

This race had something of everything, how heart broken we were for Red Bull Racing.... If Wincups fuel lasted the rest of the lap they would have been genius'. Winterbottom has overtaken Lowndes on points too.

Ok debate time: did Lowndesy do it on purpose? Those of you that watched the race will know exactly what i'm talking about.

I would love to say no, because I'm a fan of Lowndes and he is generally known for being a great guy. That said, I couldnt see any thing to cause him to turn Winterbottom around.

I dont think so. There was little to no gain in it for Lowndes. He got a penalty which stuffed him. Was a good race. Wincup didnt stand a chance of winning as if he had stopped for fuel at all in those last 20 laps or whatever he lost all his advantage. He might have been in the lead but he wasnt ever in the race.
