As pissed off as I was I could only laugh when he dropped that bomb. I had MMM on in the car driving home, Girdler was in disbelief at Flanno's selections.

Mitch Brown is Mitch Brown, I wasn't a fan of him first time around & when we resigned him I was rolling my eyes & shaking my head, other than when he dropped the ball & him not scoring he & Beale seen little ball (Beale had a shocker with his foot on the sideline).

I expect him to get picked for round 2 cause that will be the Flano way.

Yeah he's **** but putting the blame solely on him isnt right. If he's gonna be targeted for that dropped bomb give wade graham a spray for that pathetic attempt at catching the ball as well.

agreed, can't blame brown for the loss, considering the way we played we probably wouldn't have scored anyway

Brown is a below average first grade player, holding out a player full of potential.

I know he has a dig, but Holmes needs to be given some FG and given that Gagan should get the fulltime gig, now is the time where Holmes needs to be given a chance to gain experience.

It's not Brown's fault he got selected. I don't mind him as depth to cover for injuries.

What I find funny is Flanno goes for the 'safe' option against a team with little flair, like us. Why the hell wouldn't you put your best attacking players in and try and blow them off the park? It just doesn't make sense to me but then again I'm a bit slow sometimes.

it was funny, somehow when he was going for that shanked bomb in my head I was thinking "just dont drop it", then yeah.....

Ennis gave him a spray to. LOL

Ennis didn't give him a spray did he? Looked like he was just doing the old 'chin up let's get on with it'.

I thought Ennis' leadership was great last night, shame he had to deal with some slack, ill disciplined teammates.

And god, please no Mitch Brown next week. He wasn't awful and that try saver from Wighton was spectacular, but my god nothing about him inspires any confidence in our try scoring ability. Feki and Leutele are going to be a strong combo this year when Barba clicks but Beale and Brown are just going to go stale. I can see a NZ rep centre like Beale being valuable if he has someone with potential outside him, whether it be Gagan or Holmes.

I'm leaning more towards Gagan as replacement given statements like this "Valentine Holmes looked to have levelled the scores after slicing through the Raiders defence, only to have dropped the ball over the line.'

This is what happened quite regularly at the back end of last year and is the only real chink in Holmes shining potential- He makes a lot of unprofessional mistakes.

Maybe he should have given the whole lot a spray.
We may have lifted to just below NRL standard and won the game!

Waiting for the Bulldogs to find another substandard winger so that we can snap him up.

Perritt is too coordinated and Curtis Rona seems to be too talented so our next target must be running around in their lower grades.

I think mitch should be dropped. We all know he is a back up winger.

I think Holmes should go to fullback and Gordon to his wing. Although Gordon can run the ball well, I can see holmes setting up plays both sides of the field and that is what we need. Someone who can create tries as well as score them.
