That guy got 36 years, 30 non parole that's pretty stock standard. Not many get a life sentence for one murder. It actually says in the article they rejected his mental health defense.
Although the loved ones of the victims want life for life that doesn't happen
Only thing now is they reject parole indefinitely if no body is found and they don't disclose the location.
The guy I worked with also deserves life for taking that poor innocent womans life.
He pled not guilty in court and they didn't find her body until after he was sentenced. Not sure if that makes him eligible for parole now they found her body.
He was sentenced to 24 years only 18 non parole. That's less than the article you posted, no mental health defense.
He was beating her when we were working together. I actually hated him. He was a lazy pos. This is embarrassing to admit but I an adult grown man got into a fight with him, at work over the radio. I started it, I hit him and he ended up getting fired for it. I was going through my own mental health struggles at the time if I am completely honest, started suffering bipolar mania and was diagnosed about 12 months later.
Anyways not long after, infact only months later, he killed her, sometimes I think its partially my fault, maybe I set off the chain of events that led to him doing that. If I didn't start a fight with him and he still had a job would it have happened?? Guess I will never know
Sorry for the long post, actually feels good to talk about this and not hold it in
