Had a chat with Dykes. Impressive young man. Toby was Toby, hilarious as always.

Poor Gallen, came with his family ended up having a queue formed for him so he can sign and have pictures taken. The price of being a legend I guess.

Brailey was very chatty too. So were Finucane and McInnes. Even Nikora which was surprising to me :)

Had a chat with Fritzy too. Impressive personality.

Overall it was fun. Good to see the boys and slowly getting back into it. Not long to go now. Have some suggestions for improvements but overall I thought it was a success. Even the weather played nice.
Overall I thought last year was better organized. I spoke to Dino. Apparently club and staduim wont be ready until Sept/Oct at earliest. Originally the plan was July however wet weather has impacted.

It's a joke how long the construction is taking. Not completing the Leagues club in advance and instead waiting for it all to be done has cost the club a lot of money.

Not much they can do

From someone who works in the industry it’s been hard getting materials, laborers, etc for some time

The whole industry has been effected.

My mate was working on a building project in nsw that fell like 100 days behind on top of the 30 days they had built in as a buffer in case of weather

He was mentioning that rain was the major driver for the delays

Communication with the developer is very poor then, my in laws have bought in stage 4. When they first bought they were told Easter 2023. They were in formed in December that it is now July completion. Wonder when they will be told sept/oct??

I'm aware of that but that's not what I'm getting at.

At some point in the planning it went from delivering the leagues club first then doing the rest in tranches. At some point it changed to then doing it all at once.

Whether that was easier or preferred by the builders I'm not sure but they should have kept to the original plan and deliver the leagues club first. Yes parking wouldn't have been available but atleast the club could have made money during game day.

Not much can be done now but looks like yet another season of no game day revenue from the Leagues club

Delays are very frustrating for all involved especially new owners of the pre sales but in all honesty how often do large projects meet initial timeframes?

My feeling is there was a trade-off with the developer in order to make sure they did whatever was necessary so Sharks could get back to Pointsbet last season because it was uncertain for a while that it would actually happen .
