The constant call for Tricky in for Moyza is like changing the deck chairs in the Titanic.

I do not belive changing a 5-8 lifts this team to win the title.

Fix the pigs first, stop strong packs marching down the middle 1/3rd, and bitching our pack, then see how Nicho & Moyza go against top 4 teams.

If Nicho and Moyza can't get it done with a pack that at least holding their own, then & only then logic would lead to Fitzy trundling in Trindle.

Whilst I agree Cronulla does get dominated by the top teams forward packs and they need to add more aggression to the pack.

Cronulla weren’t against Broncos (They made 10% more yardage than broncos)

Yet Moylan had minimal involvement.

Mythlans 5 year free pass needs to expire.

Cronulla has potential players that will likely sign elsewhere if he keeps blocking them

Without looking at the stats I would say our yardage was made by our outside backs.

Has it ever occurred to you that maybe our style of play makes it harder for our forwards to get in a groove ?

Side to side ; lack of repeat sets ; lack of kicking into corners and tiring the other team out etc

We have already said it a lot here but against good teams we do little to wear them down over a game and die by the eyes up style we play so instead we give the other teams plenty of chances to roll us and roll through us ; our halves are terrible at building up a game plan and that’s where we need to change

And these pigs you say we should fix are with us for a while so they won’t change overnight ; but there are other alternatives in other positions we should now be experimenting with long term

Our inability to hold the ball at times kills us in the middle. I do think we need another genuine good prop or we need our current crop to lift (Particularly Hunt but also Kaufusi).

1000% our forwards need to do better.

they are what we got and they should be good enough they have all the potential …. This is on the coach also; Good coaches always turn mid forwards to game changers (Bennet, Bellamy, Flanno, Robinson etc) we don’t emphasise enough on our forwards clearly, always inconsistent and in and out of games when they should be part of the identity of the way any good team plays

Add to that our halves issues

For what’s it’s worth ; Finucane to bench McInnes to start is an automatic and easy one, Rudolph to be back will help and stick with 4 forwards on bench

I actually agree with all of that. The only thing I would be a little wary of is that Fitz being a rookie coach still probably hasn't yet got the influence of those other guys you mentioned. But he may get it later in his career.

Nah - the Sharks don't do anything at all to tire out opposition forwards.

All they do is throw a shitload of passes between forwards and run a shitload of bodies in motion to drag defenders up, force opposition middles to constantly move laterally across the field, and strategically manage their interchange to get bigger impact from their props, and push the pace when the opposition's best middles have been out there for a long time... often causing opposition coaches to play their big-minute middles less than normal when playing the Sharks

... but other than that, they are really **** at it.

We do a lot of this very well it is true. Just need to build pressure and get another player who is good at sucking in defenders.

When you put it like that it's strange that we don't try and play through the middle a bit more. We used to do the outie innie ball © to the fullback a lot to good effect. And maybe Brailz could be convinced to run a bit more when he see's this is working (though he is running more now tbf).

I think a Royce hunt bhu combo gets us there. There’s other issues.

We need teig to get back to his start of year form.

Finucane off the bench at prop and McGinness to lock.

More ball to sifa and Kennedy.

Nikora to limit his cut back inside runs to one a game. He’s doing it everytime now.

Nicho to work on his defence.

All forwards on bench.

Or even quicker fix
Moylan to tear his hammy again in the warmup, as he goes down to the floor accidently clashes heads with Wade, resulting in another concussion

I think he is too small for where he plays. Hooker? The kid is learning, he has changed. We need to go forward not backward in time.
