I googled “Foran GC how much” - first story said 750k per season. I dove deeper, fox sport quoted 400k per season which is surely more like it.
Forgetting money for a minute, who would you rather have right now - Foran or Moylan? Tough one.

I like Foran but Moylan is better suited to our style. Foran is probably a better choice for the Titans though.

A few weeks ago i was against re signing moylan on a 2 year deal.

But you are all right, there is nobody else on the market who can the job he is currently doing.

So in saying that, i would offer him the 2 year deal. However for his second year i would put in some KPI'S ect to keep the bloke motivated and hungry.

I think if we can keep him in his current role he's a lock for a 2 year contract.
I menioned a while back that he'd finished every game he started for us at 6, and has continued to do that. It's just putting that fullback workload on him that's the problem.
The role Fitz has him fill now is one where he can float in and out, call the ball when he wants and kick when he wants. It lets him have those flashes of inspiration without the burdon of Kennedy's or Hynes' jobs. So long as they keep doing their thing and working hard, Moylan can do his as well as he is now at a decent price.

Hold your nerve Sharks, Moylan for one year, for me, Moylan still does not have enough credit to warrant a 2 year deal, he has played 9
Are you prepared to lose him to another club that may offer 2 years?

I hope I don't regret saying this but if it is to play 5/8 I would be happy to sign him for a 2 year deal 900k over 2 years.

I was thinking the same thing

If we get to round 20 and his played all 20 - I’d give him a 2 year deal

Can we really wait another 10 weeks tho, Dolphins can’t, how long can we wait?

Moylan - he is more dangerous in attack which is hos main role. Foran seems to cover more of an all rounder roll at Manly.
Not disregarding the above, I wanted to keep Jimmy over Moylan way back when….

As a player I would have rather kept Jimmy but his attitude about it all stank and I didn't want the club to bow to him.
One thing to want more money but he didn't have to take it on field with him - in fact best way to get it would have been to play so well we can't afford not to raise and extend him.

Incredible player but always a bit of a nuisance and in trouble overseas now

Yep, I’ll admit he’s playing good footy for us for most of the games this season but for me, 9 games into this season don’t outweighs approx 60% of games played the previous 4 seasons.
With all respect to him, he can break @ any time & im not fussed having a guy we pay anywhere from a 350k to 500k wage sitting on the sidelines

Yeh I am, I expect that doesn’t sit well with 50% of fans but he’s got form for not being able to string games together over a fair stretch now, here’d hoping, the 9 games he’s already played turn into a majority of games played for the remainder of the season.

You're entitled to your opinion mate. Like you I'd prefer to only sign him for one year but given his form someone else will offer two.

I like the footy we're playing, I'd be signing him for two even though that goes against what I said a few weeks ago.

Not sure on the state of our cap but I'd front load a bit in the first year so the second is much lower.

Front loading not a bad shout, I just don’t trust him to throw him the 2 yrs

And I'd expect we're shopping around the whole time.

Could be a WIN/WIN
Good money next year , minimal the year after and cash to splash 2nd year as insurance
ALTHOUGH , Might end up tricky to manage something like 950K to stay 2 years .
Reckon offers of say 1M for 2 years elsewhere might be on the table
