Who was the big prick they ran at Moyza all night? Forget his name but Moyza took care of him one on one fairly consistently. He bounced away a few times toward the end but I thought the Moyz handled him admirably
#nevertrampled
Defensively BIG effort , now has speed/acceleration he had as a young player having watched him turn and chase down a break away player in trial game .
Best is yet to come in 2022
Apart from kicking game , not sure what else he has to do to impress ?
Eninis AND Cronk singing his praises below
SHARKS HALVES SHINE AS HYNES SEALS EPIC WIN
Nicho Hynes deserved the hero moment after nailing the match winning conversion after the siren, but it was his halves partner Matt Moylan that set up the match levelling try.
Michael Ennis and Cooper Cronk lauded the impact of the pair on the Sharks’ attack throughout the contest.
“It was Matt Moylan who stood up in the big moments with a beautifully timed pass for Teig Wilton to charge over,” Ennis said.
“Then Nicho at 16-all and he had kicked pretty average all day and he absolutely drilled it and the fans have gone berserk there.”
“I think Matt Moylan has been under a fair bit of scrutiny in recent times, but I think he needs a pat on the back,” Cronk said.
“I thought he was outstanding. The times he chose to inject himself he looked dangerous.
“And to come up with that play. He realised that they were outnumbered. Went with the short pass with Nicho Hynes swinging around the back. It was all deception.
“Then for the big off-season recruit there is no better way to make your mark at a new club than kicking your match winning conversion when the siren has gone.
“Congratulations to the two halves.”
Hynes was lost for words in summing up his match winning kick, but had more to say about his five-eighth Moylan.
There are good signs for the Sharks spine with Moylan getting back to his best as well, according to Ennis.
“Matt Moylan was really dangerous,” Ennis said.
“He took on the line and every time he touched the ball he made things happen.”
The Sharks are building something in 2022 and there is plenty to like about Craig Fitzgibbon’s side.
