Yeah I'll reckon he'll stay till he secures an A League license
Don't hold your breath on another A-League team in the near future unless your referring to teams playing out of Shark park - I reckon Newcastle could be the next train wreck he takes his wrench to and at a stretch the Titans (both clubs currently under NRL ownership and in debt IIRC)
He's too classy to go to the struggling St Merge after serving the Sharks faithful

Wouldn't surprise me if he did another code hop though, perhaps NBL

Don't want him too, but if he was to depart in the near future I will always remain a fan of his. Is and will remain one of the many legends of our club.

For sure - it's just the nature of quality candidates like him that are always in demand and looking for the next big challenge, will end up a chairman somewhere again down the track I would think as well
The little fella has the runs on the board and could almost name his price not that he is about that

If he wants a fair dinkum challenge he can't go past the Wallabies or ARU

Lyall to Manly as CEO ? Would be a huge loss !!!!!

It's a DT rubbish article.. settle

“I didn’t even know there was a vacant CEO job. That’s how well I am going.

“I just got the Bulldogs (vacant CEO job) emailed me. That’s just headhunters doing their job. I haven’t had any discussions at all, anywhere.

“My focus is to help work through (Cronulla’s) cash flow to make sure we are financially viable. That’s where my focus is at the minute. I am just focused on my job here.”

Lyall has done great things at Sharks and part of our first premiership. He doesn't like to stick around the same place for too long. I'm hearing if Sharks get an A-League team he will be leaving. He worked wonders at both Sydney West Wanderers and Central Coast.

Where do you hear stuff like this? The voices in your head?

There would be half a dozen or more Clubs across the major codes that he could get a gig with. The Bulldogs being the obvious one at the moment. And they could probably double whatever we're paying him.

But there were reports - look earlier in the thread - that he was approached by Carlton and others as well prior to joining us. So money obviously isn't the main motivation.

I'm more concerned that he'll be poached by one of the big sporting bodies. He has credentials at that level having run the A-League. The ARU, Swimming Australia come to mind. Maybe even the FFA. That would be his next career move.

If Lyall likes fixing up ****holes, the ARU would be perfect
