Can't express how much I love this guy and what he has done for the club. I hope he stays on board forever, hopefully he has been bitten by the shark fever!!

I think it was a 3 year deal in the first place, so 2017 will be his final year. Unless he goes on further. Im not sure how Lyall operates though. Would be good to see him there once the funds come in from the development and he can help put some measures in place to ensure some sustainability.

I think he'll be here for a few years yet while there's half a chance of a third a league team in Sydney.

Sorry snow. I'm not trying to be a "knowitall" but I thought I remembered something about a 5 year deal.

This is the final paragraph of the link to an interview he gave back in December 2014

Where do you see yourself in five years?

Well I just signed a five-year contract. I’ve got four key decision making drivers that helped me settle on this role: I’ve got to believe in what I do – and I tremendously believe in the journey this club is on; it’s got to excite me – and I’m incredibly excited and passionate about the opportunity to turn this business around; I’ve got to be able to move it from a measurable base to somewhere that doesn’t necessarily need to be penthouse, but you’ve got to see significant growth, so a status quo role is no good for me; and the last one is the legacy effect – and if I look back at some of the roles I’ve done and say ‘hey, that’s really made a difference, a true legacy for the community that it represents.

So in five years I’d like to think that that job is done in this role and you’d like to looking at what’s next. In five years I reckon there’ll be another sporting franchise or code that’s got the capacity to be uplifted significantly.

possibly, but this comment is alarming
True.
I personally think that he will definitely move on after his 5 years now as long as the development is at the stage of where it is planned to be. He loves the underdog and a challenge.
It will be extremely disappointing but the upside will be that in all likely hood the person who takes over will also be of a high quality, especially if Lyall is involved in the hiring of his replacement.
