Just looking it seems the the group of blokes that own the Storm own 20% of Melbourne City. Are these the Kiwi businessmen?

So, according to today's SMH he has been brought in to start an A League team for 2017. There had to be a reason why a CEO of his stature would come to the club without insisting on the removal of Flanagan.

It is a fantastic play by the club and if successful should provide a degree of immunity to the club if the NRL attempts to shift all Sydney clubs to Parra/Homebush/SFS.

I don't think that's what it says at all. It says he has a vision of doing it. 2017 just comes up because he has a realistic idea, because of doing it before with how long it will take.

I personally think LG likes a challenge and by coming here he has that. The NRL side needs to be fixed first before there is any bid put together for an A League team.

What you say about the immunity is very true if it comes off

Huh?

I read an article about Gallen loving having Ennis at the Club.

There is a bit at the end where the journo obviously asked about A-League and Gallen said he didn't know much about it, but would support anything that helps the Club.

When is Gormon signed onto or is he not on a contact being in a non-football position at the club?
Good stuff and all but don't want A-League taking away from his focus on the NRL Sharks in the coming years which is what he is here for

For someone who knows their A League, is BWB available for a team, or is it too close to Sydney FC?

Sydney won't let any other side have sky blue or even close to it. Melb Heart wanted to move their colours to match Man City's but that was knocked on the head quickly by FC (fair enough too)

That really does suck. The ideal situation would be a sporting hub at Remondis with the Cronulla Sharks and the Southern Sharks playing in BWB.

I agree with the agreement.

Gorman got the supporters of WSW to vote for the colours and give ideas during the community forum things, so if it goes ahead, at the very least there'll be some ownership over what colours the team gets stuck with. (As opposed to those f'ing awful colours the Big Bash "teams" got stuck with)
