sorry guys ive been searching for the last 15 mins and cant find the thread on him, but i thought for those who dont know id give an updatye on him. as most know this year he has been playing in the NRRRL(Northern Rivers Regional Rugby League) for murwillmbah, and hes been going really well. he has really helped the team (im not a fan of murwillmbah though) and was picked in the representative team for it with fellow former nrl player roy bell. another thing is that covs has also led them to the grand final against grafton which should be a good match (1st v 2nd).

I went and watched the major semi to get them into the grandfinal against northern united, an Aboriginal team based in lismore, it was a bit of a try fest. I think Luke kicked 3 from 8 and kicked one out on the full from the kick off. Still, he scored one, set up plenty and works as hard as ten men

nrrrl (northern rivers regional rugby league) presentation night happened recently, covs got awarded the second rower of the year, good effort.

also he got murwillimbah to the grand final but fell short losing 10-6 to the grafton ghosts(some may have seen in todays paper)

lol Covell was an awesome player for us. He is still better then any of our current wingers and any winger we have had since 2002

The guy is the 3rd highest point scorer of all time for the sharks. And he did it in an era where the sharks have been considered one of the worst attacking teams ever. He also took out the highest point scorer in 2008 when only the bulldogs had (who finished last) a worse attacking record then us.

The only thing covell lacked was speed. Other then that he was one of the best wingers around. Your blind if you think any different.
