Well both Simmo and Covell are way safer at the back than Albert or Kearney (playing out of position), those two were heart attack material under the high ball at times last season.

Yeah but none of them are week in and week out fullbacks are they, taking highballs takes plenty of practice and a fearless attitude.

Covell taking highballs frm a cross kick to me is easier then a fullback taking a bomb 2m out from the try line with attack running at you.

I see what your saying teflon, not to the same degree but sometimes covell is like having Halligan there. before anyone whinges not saying Covell is anywhere near as bad as Halligan, he is a good winger, there are just more dangerous and faster ones in the comp.

Who are the out standings?

To be honest I did not know their faces well enough to put their faces to their names but in particular, Chad Isles played well at hooker ( I have also been told they are looking for PL hooker fulltime out of their JF squad), also a winger and centre that were both playing on their right side, both islanders/moari guys, and a second rower too who had great footwork.

For sure Peach, I mean, we are all sharks supporters and if your on this site it means that your the most passionate of sharks supporters. I like you and 195 mate, 195 seems to think I'm out to get him but I'm not really. We need more supporters like yourselves. I always try and make my posts colourful and its just a shame that involves takin the piss out of you and 195, lol. Trust me, its nothing personal.

sorry i won't do it again. waking up at 6am every morning (including weekends) is hard for me. i am glad we can put this all behind us.

and by the way i think covell would be excellent at fullback when he has to get the high ball but when it comes down to it he can't get the speed as fast as most fullbacks.

for any of you that have rugby league 2, put covell at fullback and try it, you will see what i mean.

I have heard he blitzed it and was the best on the park.

Apparently Ricky said in the media at th press conference that he is a walk in for round 1, because of how he has played.

I thought I'd bump this thread for any one who has forgotten about how good Covell was (or IS but that remains to be seen this year)...

Luke's been one of my favourite sharkies for a while. Great tribute, good stuff. He showed a bit of pace in some of those clips too.
