I am once again calling it as I see it. It is a gut feel but I think Luke Burt will be at Cronulla for their next game and Foran to the Dogs.

This is the only one ive seen!

I'm sure he has played there before but he wouldn't be in my first few options as a centre. Matty wright and leutele are out and out centres who are young. Burt will be perfect at the back or on the wing.

Defs good utility value though.

I dont see where there wouldnt be value in having a player like Burt at the club.

Can play wing or full back, clearly positions we lack experience and quality in. Im not saying our guys like Mills, Williams, Wright, Gardner, etc have been poor all season. In fact, theyve probably in alot of ways exceeded expectations, but Burts got experience on his side, no brilliance, but when we lose guys like Gardner and have back line switches all over the joint, Burts a cool head we can use for sure

I know I've said it previously but I just think having some experience for once at the back in the key position of FB will do wonders for us. Composure, positioning, safe hands, organising the defense. He may not be a gun but there's alot of benefits to be had from a player like Burt. He may be able to teach our young guys some things as well. I'm pretty sure he's capable of putting in grubber kicks which is not something in Gards reportire.

I'm happy to give Wright another chance to see how he goes in mean time. I thought he was very good against the Eels.

I agree. I still dont undersand why parra would release him though. His versitilty, experience and reliability provide great depth to a club. Still if they do its great for us!

The thing about Burt that's relevant here, is that when he hit first grade many years ago he was an absolute weed - pull-through for a BB gun...

Remind you of someone?

Game has changed a lot since then. Size really does matter now. That first try on the weekend we don't score it with Gards trying to catch.

But those 3 players are in-consistent that's why they have never cemented a spot in FG, for all we know Wright has a shocker against the Raiders and we lose. With Burt what you see is what you get
