I am reading with a bit of interest, I really am not overly fussed about this, if we sign him....great, we've got a proven fullback for the rest of the year, on the other hand if we don't.....great, give our young talented guys a go.....including Luke Pickerd. So whatever the club decides here......I'll back.

Well i would prefer them to play at the moment then blood a teenager at this stage of the season. We need to keep our momentum up with another win.

I think we could blood Pickerd for a couple of games until Gordon or Stapleton comes back. (Whoever comes back first)

Not at this point while we are sitting in 4th, and ready to charge on. We need to make as little risky movements as possible. Not saying Pickerd wouldnt be able to do the job, but we dont know for sure that he could. Same with really anyone we put their, Gardner was only just getting the job done.
I think in a situation like end of last year, we had no hope of making the 8. Then we got Townsend in, due to necessity and curiosity to an extent, and 4 wins straight and we were sitting in 8th i think. But at the time, nothing was happening and it just seemed like a great chance while we really had nothing to lose to try it. Right now we have momentum, a winning streak, confidence and self belief going for us, Gardners injury, while he hasnt been great so far this year, may turn into more of an issue than we thought if we dont get someone in to do his job well. Gordon is fast and a good defender, and is probably the best replacement we have. But this is where we need to sign some sort of versatile outside back! Ive seen YowYeh play in full back, wing and centres in first grade. We need a player who we can switch to any of them positions at short notice and be confident he can perform. Not have a 20 page discussion about who will go there and why they should

Im not on Twitter at all but over on The Eels supporter website they are saying that Luke Burt has signed with us. It is coming from Twitter and i was just wondering if anyone can go on to twitter and maybe post on here about what is being said. Also Luke burt has not been named in there Wentworthville side this week either
