Behind a few like Hynes Trindall Puru
Or behind a few like as the backup to Hynes and Trindall there are still a few in front of him?
Yeah I won't be surprised to see Dykes ahead of Puru once he's back on deck. That would put him as first drop in 2026. It's possible that Pollard has a huge year and jumps him by then though I guess.

I noticed Will Kennedy is off contract end of 2025, with Ison re-signing now I can't see Kennedy staying, will give Ison another season to develop then take over in 2026 as our 1st choice FB. Good re-signing to do, a pretty talented young player.

Doubt there'd be a heap of clubs chasing Will.

More importantly, Ison doesn't strike me as one to just wait. He's going to be at WK's throat all year and that excites me

I don't think so either but that may just put Kennedy back as depth in 2026. We need good depth in every position.
Im all for that IF Kennedy accepts a significantly reduced contract to match his status.
I do see him going to SL thou to somewhere like Castleford or Wakefield

Yeah he'll probably be past his prime in 2026, if he's happy to stay as just depth with a lower wage I'm all for that. A lower club may go for him or he may want to try the SL for a few seasons.

I think he'll be the same as he is now. Fairly average.

And win Man of Steel
Hes not good enough for that.
The FBs that have killed it in SL have been likes of Barba, Field and French - pace to burn and in top teams.
I cant see likes of Saints or Wigan making a play for him, so he'd end up at a lower club like Cas, Wakey or Salford - and his defensive deficiencies would be even more evident then

Oh I think atko and Puru For 2025 . plus we have a few young halves that’ll jump in nsw cup next yr (pollard?)
I’ve already forgotten Atko 😂

Hard to say any of the young halves jump him for me. I’ve seen even less of them and he’s been given an NRL debut

I think this kid could have a breakout year in 2025, i actually expect him to get some gametime especially if we decide to move Kennedy on in 26

I'm not bagging him, but he makes Docking look like a prop.

He's going to get owned until he beefs up a lot. I reckon 2026.

I mean Kennedy still gets owned so can't be much worse in taking hitups.

He’s similar size to the Melbourne fullback Faalogo, supposedly 5cm taller and 2kg lighter. I think acceleration can make up for the weight to some extent, a defender is just worried about tackling them rather than trying to smash them.

And if you believe the online records he is 8cm taller and 5kg heavier than Docking was, though obviously playing bigger opponents than Docking.

Still I do think Kennedy is at least a couple years more advanced than Ison
