I genuinely don't see Miller having better value at fullback than Gamble right now. Miller has looked flashy in attack but very shaky in defence. I wouldn't want him organising my line from the back .This is such a weird play by Newcastle..

I'm with you man but hey I'll take a decent dev forward if Newcastle are dumb enough to do it.

Genuinely curious to see how many spine combination's the knights go through this year though, I'm betting Ponga and Miller get switched around within 4 rounds

Didn’t Browny try Ponga at 6 and admitted it didn’t work out considering defensive workload ?

I know time has passed - and it’s a different coach but the jury would surely still be out on Ponga as a 6 …
Knights coach is CRAP

coach knows he needs results soon or he’ll be gone. He can’t afford to hold a prospect at the expensive of getting a piece he needs for right now
That's assuming that as coach he has 100% control over recruitment and retention

Comment from THEIR Forum

One less up and coming prop that the Saifiti's need to worry about too. I'm sure we can trust them to have a crack and lay off the piss long enough to fill the hole Klem is leaving with less pressure coming from behind them.

Can't wait til we trade some more juniors because we ran out of oranges to give out at halftime. What a club.

You call that a good spine ? A halves pairing of Gamble and Hastings ?

So we traded a third choice fullback for one of the best front row prospects in the game. On paper at least. Prospects don’t always deliver, but they never do if you don’t have any. This is great for us.

Provided we don’t end up having much use for a third string fullback
