That's what I'm trying to say - he played a couple decent games of NRL and went from being 50/50 whether his cheapness was moire valuable than Chad's experience or not to being the next immortal somehow!

If yas are referring to my comment then chill out, I never said he’s the next immortal or Joey johns, I said he’s BETTER then the 7 we have, also younger and cheaper. An upgrade in every possible sense of the word.

Meatloaf says 2 out of 3 ain't bad.

Flanagan has never played halfback in the NRL. You can say that you think Chad is crap and you want to replace him for a younger, cheaper player who might be better one day, and many would agree with you - but there is no basis whatsoever for saying that Flanagan having played zero games is a better halfback than Townsend right now.

Not specifically referring to any particular comment, just the vibe from a few that Flanjus potential has suddenly skyrocketed.

But yes this does include your theory that Flanno's normal game is Chad's best game because we have not seen any evidence, IMO, that that's true. Specifically the fact he has struggled to impact games in lower tier comps suggests that he was not going to provide a substantially better product than Chad.

He is younger, he is cheaper, I have not been convinced he is better.

He could be better, sure. He could be the same, or worse. He could be Ash Taylor who crumbled under the hype and goes missing... like he has done before in big games. He could be Luke Brooks who we bend over backwards to keep and ends up not really kicking on like we wanted him to, meanwhile Teddy cruised over to Roosters.

Agreed! I take Chad as it stands right now over flanju & I haven't seen a thing that tells me he will be a force in the NRL in the future (that's not saying Chad is) I think he can possibly ride on the back of a very good Roosters team and look ok doing it but in terms of being a go to half NO!

Kyle Flanagan left Cronulla because of his father he didn't want him playing for the sharks. Take that as you want.

The club can't really have a coach that's indefinitely suspended.

He's the first coach I can remember getting suspended and he's done it twice!

But yeah. I get the feeling that this was always going to happen.
