Did you notice how I restrained myself Egg...:)

I did , like you have been letting balls go to the keeper , in this regard .
That's why I self corrected , this time :)

My take on this - We knew he was being head hunted ages ago.

What has pissed me off is that Chad has been patchy at best, even on his (lucky) good games, absolute **** often.

Despite how Chad was half decent for a couple of games, Kyle should've taken his spot weeks ago.

He didn't, and now a far better half than Chad has gone...

Kyle had six games alongside Chad to prove he was better and he was better in what - one? Maybe two? He doesn’t deserve to be ahead of Chad at the moment
He shot his shot and it was decent but it didn’t deserve to push Chad out when Johnson came back

Does it deserve to push one of them out now ?

Given Johnson responded to the hook by improving I think he’s saved himself. Hard to point the finger at just the halves as being the issue last couple games - improvement needed across the park and in coaching decisions. Kyle doesn’t fix that.
And now he has signed elsewhere he can play if one of SJ and Chad can’t otherwise he can play Jets.

Or he can be picked 18-19th man every week until the end of the season and not play NRL or for the Jets!

Not about this at all.

Flannos potential could be special, and we’ve seen Chads absolute best, you really think Flanno played his best footy out there, his normal game is chads best game.

It’s a big loss.

Massive loss. I love Chad as a bloke and player but this kid had what it takes and could have been our number 7 next year.

What is everyone basing this so called good Flano form on? A couple of decent grubbers and his ability to pass it to Moylan or Townsend on sweep plays against the Dragons? He’s not running the team, he doesn’t run the ball, he hasn’t created a try with his hands other than just a catch-pass as part of a set play, and his kicking game and defence have been OK but not great. Nothing there screams “put me in first grade”.

Personally I think everyone is buying in to some short term hype. Kyle has never been projected as the next Pearce / Maloney / Hunt / Cleary / DCE. The projection for him has always been that he would become a solid game manager but not a game breaker. This could work well at the Roosters next to Keary but there will be some growing pains for him.

I’m disappointed that the club lost him but people are carrying on like we’ve lost Joey Johns

And for a player to hardly dominate at NSW cup level, which he hasn't as I got to most Jets games as I live near there says alot too. He went missing an awful lot for the Jets, could be lack of interest, which says lot also.

Good luck to him. I do think the only way he'll improve is consistent first grade.

That's what I'm trying to say - he played a couple decent games of NRL and went from being 50/50 whether his cheapness was moire valuable than Chad's experience or not to being the next immortal somehow!
