Yeah you can’t justify that decision.

If you think they are shot and down a man etc .. fine but take the 2 and go at them again. It was clear the team was lacking composure so the last thing they needed was to chase points. We hadn’t scored a try all second half.

Was just dumb and likely cost us a shot at finals.

Also it’s becoming more apparent that Hannay is sticking around to help Fitz with the transition. Be very surprised if he lasts more than a year.

No doubt we’ll try and get Ciraldo for 2023 if he doesn’t get a first grade gig by then.

Diabolical decision. All other 15 teams take the two points in that situation.

I agree with you Matty but who coaches the side if they remove him.

With the bubble and all who else is there?

I’m guessing it’s probably frustration from most on here but no chance in hell Hannay won’t see the year out as coach.

100% agree , has to stay for now .
Apart from assisting Fitz in familiarising the intricacies of each player next year.
What would he really have to offer after that?

He’s done pretty well for what he is. The AC to a rookie HC in Morris, who was thrust into the position way to early. Was Morris the AC at the time or just the 20’s coach?

I sound like a broken record, but it’s nothing but spectacular what we’ve been able to achieve while being so severely disadvantaged.

If we had signed Hannay for the next 2 seasons and had the same squad moving forward - I’d be pretty disappointed atm.

But we have made some serious changes to the coaching set up and have some serious talent coming into the squad.

So the rest of the year is what is. No point bagging individual players. Everyone starts with a clean slate next year IMO.

Get through the rest of the year, get out of the bubble and move on to next year.

Start fresh, Kogarah done, hopefully Corona done

The teething stage is almost over. Coming back to Shark Park with a solid squad and competent coaching staff will be great moment.

Just wondering if covid will **** us when we do. We had to get some massive amount through the gates just to break even. Covid will make this even harder

I dont care, Gal and Ennis can coach the team via zoom for all I care.

Probably but I genuinely believe the longer he stays in charge this year, the harder he makes Fitzgibbon’s job next year. He’s doing more and more damage to these guys.

****ing dumb **** if he really decided to not take the 2

Are you suprised ? He’s a dud coach.

Can’t see the positives of why he gets to stay on at the club, fresh start for everyone would’ve been better.

Listening to Flanagan he would be very good foil for a rookie coach

He’s an individual!!
Probably the only coach in the history of the game to decide not go for 2.

Agree but I think Flanno will get a HC gig pretty soon

Absolutely ****ing no chance Flanno would be allowed back with Fitz. He’d spend the whole time white anting him.

And there’s clear benefits for Fitz it seems if he’s keeping him on plus it goes without saying the difference between a HC and AC is kind of significant, he might be perfect for us as AC? Or he might be gone after a year. No biggie
