Always interesting to read these sorts of stats mate, cheers.
Mate you winner if there's a corrosion that can be drawn between unavailable player value and season results. Most teams deal with it to varying degrees, but maybe there's a tipping point where the value starts to be a key factor.
If you've got a spare minute that is mate. Cheers.
This took a bit longer than I had hoped it would, the most time consuming bit was just checking how many games each **** had played
Also a pain in the arse but Panthers don't actually have 5 players in the DT top 100 list, they only have 2. So they don't fit into what I worked out.
Below is ladder position (current) ranked by amount of games played by their top 5 paid players (confused a bit by some players switching teams, I held them against their original team ie if you played 10 for original team and 4 for new team your total is still 10) so this is all very inaccurate, but a rough idea.
Storm 6th
Panthers ??
Rabbits 1st
Seagles 2nd
Eels 3rd
Roosters 7th
Knights 13th
Sharks 15th
Raiders 9th
Titans 4th
Warriors 14th
Dragons 5th
Tigers 8th
Cowboys 10th
Broncos 12th
Bulldogs 11th
So I guess we have a good excuse to feel kind of hard done by here, especially as none of our absences are even SOO
With only Moylan able to suit up for next round we actually probably get worse still than all other sides
% of cap taken up by top 5 is lead by Dragons, Sea Eagles, Sharks, Rabbitohs (the only four clubs with 4 million plus tied up in top 5)
Broncos, Bulldogs, Knights, Tigers have least tied up in top 5 (Broncos lowest, less than 3.1mil)
