This time last year we were saying a similar thing about Todd Murphy. Hopefully things are different this time round.

different circumstances

last year we were saying this as jeff robson is absolute ****

it was a flip of the coin call, but we either went into the season with no kicking game and a grandpa who talks, or a non talker with a kicking game

this year we have a solid nrl half back with direct competition from a guy the same age coming off an outstanding QC season

lets not forget though, Murphy was runner up player of the year so my reservations on cleeland will be held until i see him in person

Good post mate. It's exciting times definitely but I won't be over the moon yet until I see him play. Hopefully he keeps Townsend on his toes and if his form dips then this guy gets the call up.

Is this the end of jack birds run at 5/8? Now with 3 genuine halves I'm thinning he'll be running out in the centres, Lockie potentially fullback.

Cant say for sure but I think I seen him doing a road run today along Captain Cook Drive past the golf courses, if it was him its a good thing he was going for a run, looks to be carrying a bit too much puppy fat.

A full pre season with first grade will sort out any of those issues, seems to have a good attitude though.

His running style seems very similar. Clearly Croker isn't a 5/8th but i could see Cleeland filling in (at center) if needed and being able to play a similar game to him.
