Would have liked us to sign mitchell dodds as a cheapish front rower but he went to the ESL

Exactly the type of front rower we should have picked up.

Damn, they are some good numbers. Wonder what his kicking game is like. I'm sure we'll see him running around in the Nines.

Hope we've got an option on him for 2017 if he comes good. Bet we don't though.

Not sure whether it's just the headgear but in the highlights he reminds me a bit of Soward.

Bulkier and more fearless than Soward though - and not quite as much toe.

Interesting article regarding this bloke. Says that Flanno contacted his manager and showed the most interest. A few points thats excite me about that is that a. We have Chad and Maloney as established halves already, but Flanno was eager to get this guy here. Remembering we also have a few quality lower grade prospects, including Flannos very own sun who plays in the halves too.

Could there be a scenario where Maloney plays 7 and this bloke gets a run at 6? I do remember Maloney playing a fair bit of 7 at the Warriors previously

The numbers on their backs won't make much difference

not so much talking about the sticker mate. Im talking about the role they take on. Maloney could lead the team around easily. Its good to know that there is some healthy competition for those spots with tracey and the new guy also

Agree , but I also love the fact that Flanno is now seeing the value of a good half ,5/8 combo and back up. This appears to be a quantum change in his thinking....... at long last.

All the top teams have known this for many many years

Nice signing. Much easier on the mind having this bloke on our books as halves backup when a possible alternative a few months ago was Robbo.

We really have recruited a good halves roster. A marquee, a solid first grader, and a wildcard depth option. Love it.

There are people claiming Cleeland is better than Chad, despite at the same Chad has 60+ first grade games.

i like this signing but he aint gonna be a messiah
