Why the hell are we trying to sign this mug? Brisbane of all clubs that need props let go of him. We have plenty of props that I'd rather than Clinton.

I could see this happening as a replacement for Snowden/while Vave/Clayton and maybe Mannah develop. But doesn't Flano want an edge 2nd rower?

What were Clinton's numbers like before he left?

I will be pissed off if we sign him. Flanagan would have a bloody lot to answer to.

According to an article on zerotackle.com.au Clinton was "one of the stand out props" last year in the ESL but has been "lacklustre" to start this year.

RUMOUR: Joel Clinton wants to return to Australia

The rumour of Joel Clinton returning to Australia refuses to die. Last November it was rumoured that Clinton wanted out of his Super League contract.

Apparently his family are unsettled in the UK and the club has agreed to release him as soon as Willie Mason arrives.

Clinton was one of the stand out props in 2010 in the Super League and his performance so far this season has been lacklustre at best. An unhappy home life could be the reason behind his poor play. Or maybe he’s just having a bad stretch.

Considering this is the second time this rumoured has surfaced, we’re unsure if that makes it more or less credible.

Rumour:Clinton to return to Australia

I would have preferred to see us scoop up White or Carl Webb before this nuffie, no thanks. I have a feeling it could be to replace Snowden, but haha, no way on earth is that a good swap

It's a good swap if we spend hardly anything on him, and use the extra money to address the real issues with our team. If Snowden leaves our forward pack will still be adequate and the rest of our team will still be inadequate. So the problem to address won't be to find another marquee prop, it'll be to find a marquee half / outside backs.
