Good first out win for the 20’s. 34-0 vs Norths.

Mulitalo and Wilton played. I’ll update the full squad later today.

So Flegg Sharks currently sitting on top with a +100(ish) PD after only 3 Rounds.

A few of those players are from last year but there's alot of new names, and clearly they must be good.

Any update on who's good out of this team that are new to the squad ?

The best players are the guys you would already know about (Mulitalo, Wilton, Trindall) and the guys who were there last year who you may not have known about already (Millard, Lualua, Tevaga, Kula). Topai-Aveai also played his first game yesterday.

The new players who have played so far are:

Jenson Taumoepeau (centre), Angus Ernst (half), Isaac Longmuir(hooker) and Franklin Pele (prop) all came up from 18's. They were some of the better players from that 18's team, along with Lualua (wing, fullback) and Tevaga (centre) who played some 20's last year.
Connor Luhan (prop) and Josh Delailoa (winger) are new signings.

Kai Broadhurst (halfback from 18's) and Jangala Bennet (Nudgee Rugby) are both players with high expectations, but neither has played yet this season. It's also possible they are down playing local A grade; Como haven't released a player list yet and Gymea had a bye in round 1.

Ah yes I'd forgotten about Jangles, certainly had some good wraps on him.

After all the hype you'd expect him to be playing somewhere above A Grade...

The next Jonathan Thurston or the next Karl Filiga?

Hopefully pops up somewhere soon

It's not unusual for players to start in local A grade - especially in their turning-19 year. Millard and Kula started there last year and are two key players this year. James Russell and Jackson Stewart also played a lot there last year but seem to be pretty safe in the 17 now.

But they aren't the next anyone, he is the next JT.
Still, I do realise that, hence why I say hopefully he pops up somewhere soon. I'd expect the next JT to be playing above A Grade at 19 and it doesn't bode well if he can't.

Or Jack Rogers.
I think I remember at one stage he was 20s eligible but had to play A Grade because he refused to meet the U20s work/study requirements, or something like that?
Then what happened?

Yeah from memory his work ethic wasn't great, think he liked a party.

If I recall correctly Mats brother could have been a decent footballer if he'd been able to commit himself also.

Donny. Yeah I've heard that too.

Went to the same primary school as him which was when his old man was at his peak. Fair to say he was a popular kid!
