I certainly remember him, he was a good ref. In that time there was also Kevin Roberts and Jack Danzey who played for us in our first year.
Yes. That was pretty much the same era Chad. He was one of the leading Refs of the day. Pretty sure he refereed a couple of Grand Finals also.

Anyone was better than Hartley -with what he did in '78.......
From memory Bort, I am pretty sure he Reffed through most of the 70’s and was one of the top Refs. I remember he was in charge of at least one, possibly two Grand Finals. Cant remember which year or years they were though
Ok. I have found out he reffed at least the ‘77 final + the Replay between Parra and St George.
