Is that where Flanno is going as reserve coach? Could end up in a good old fashioned playoff for the number 1 jersey before being pushed out to the centres.

They already have Barrett as an Assistant, don't think they need Flanno also.

IMO Flanno will go to a club he's most likely of taking over as head coach - so for me that's the Dragons. He won't take over at the Roosters.

If we lose Morris, and both Moyza and Duges are injured, I'd like to see JMO get on the front foot and announce that the fullback position is open and that anyone in our top 30 could inherit the role, whether they want it our not, including Woodsy.

That oughta keep 'em on their toes.

I'd like him to get on the front foot and say that Jack Bird is playing there, despite being under contract at the Broncos.

That's the way you do things. Just say that's what is happening and everyone in Rugby League just falls in line to make it happen.

Didn't think it was possible but I'm starting to feel a bit of sympathy for Bird. Only a bit.

The Broncos have been dealt a savage blow with Jack Bird ruled out of Friday’s season-opening derby against the Cowboys after injuring his knee at training on Wednesday.

In a crushing setback on the eve of the round-one blockbuster at North Queensland Stadium, Bird is a late scratching after suffering a fresh knee injury in a freak training mishap at Red Hill.

Bird was on the field for 15 minutes when he buckled under a tackle. Training stopped for about 30 seconds as Bird was helped from the ground. He limped off the field and chucked his shirt onto the floor as he repeatedly screamed a torrent of expletives.

He's an exciting player, I'd rather watch him than not, even if it is for a rival team.

Lucky for him he's got a player option for 2021.

Apparently it was Deardon that tackled him, obviously wants the #14 jersey and saw a chance.
