Great idea. Imagine if we could develop a Members area/bar with the same kind if prestige that the cricket grounds do... where the wait list is years.

How about this for a vision:
- 10000 ticketed members seated undercover in expanded ET/PB stands
- 10000 concourse members
- Members bars, eating areas and entertainment on each side of the ground
- 30000 'Sharks Net' Members - amounts to a spot on tge waiting list for seated membership as well as voting rights and support for the Club + discounts etc
- 10000 walkup tickets available at each game
- Tickets in demand weeks before each game
- Tickets resold on stubhub.com or similar if you can't make it that week, Club gets a cut of each resale

Too ambitious?

If anyone else has used the members only terrace bars at ANZ stadium, thats where I have watched most games since becoming a member there.
I think that could be incorporated into an extended grandstand if they wanted and make it members only at Remondis.

In your head, rent free
A question I'd like to see asked is whether or not the clubs looking at ways to cheapen the price of food and drinks on game day.

I know several family's that don't go to games as they can't afford it.

If we want to get family's through the gates we need to lower the prices.

we dont determine the prices put up and in terms of the sydney market we are cheaper than most

FMD you run into alot of the players for a bloke living in Taree. My new job has me around the Shire alot and in terms of bumping into players, nudda.
Maybe I gotta hit up the pubs and grog shops more...

Years ago Flanno said the reason for this is that he did not have the quality in the backline and well he wasn't wrong. We now have the best backline we have had in a long time and I think he has been called out on his lack of ability or boldness to coach attacking football and structures.

We look a far better team and ironically better organised and less mistake riddled when the shackles are thrown off and we play free flowing positive football
There were signs of improvement in this regard under Flanno's watch in parts of 2013 but nothing consistent enough to suggest he has a grasp on it or that he has worked out the formula that makes our team fire

We are capable, he just needs to learn how ingrain in out team but perhaps he does not want to

Like i said, caringbah dan murphys haha. I only see/know the guys from taree and surrounding areas. Theres quite a few young guys from here in various 20s and younger teams from the nrl

What sort of money would that require? If that requires structural work then it would presumably be prohibitively expensive without government tipping in.

$5

eventually more SEATING is going to be required. if they club still want to have the family hill, which imo is a must, then the stands will have to be stretched.

i agree about a members area.

1 other thing.....members beer line. must show members card on entry. **** this lining up with the plebs bull****

I'm not disagreeing. How many seats are undercover now, and how many can be added without structural work? Estimates anyone?

Probably none?

Well, maybe we could somewhere, but not without creating more of a mess with the layout. I think the next best extension would be both (or even one) end(s) of the ET stand. Keep the two tiered design, but make it longer.

I also think there should be a way to extend the PB Stand to incorporate some kind on commercial leases underneath to be accessible from the other side? I think it would probably be much cheaper if we did it at the same time as the rest of the building work.

Lost at sea.
"Flanagan talking about the new direction in which our "style of play" is heading. Classy outside backs will deserve an attacking brand."

"Gorman/Keogh want to drastically rebrand inside the stadium to make it intimidating. Flags, shark colours, player banners etc."

This would be brilliant for minimising costs.

There has been a lot of stadium talk in the papers lately. The latest development being that the Shooters and Fishers will block the sale of the poles and wires if they retain the balance of power at the election. The money for stadium upgrades at ANZ/SFS/Parra is where the money will be coming from.

If the sale is blocked then the government may have no choice but to abandon such massive building projects and return to the old model of funding upgrades on smaller grounds. In short, we should be lobbying government for money to upgrade Remondis.

Didn't we receive funding fairly recently? Can't see us getting anything for a while unless the ground gets more use than it currently does.
