im going to get flamed for moving Gordon. We would need to get him the ball a lot and I wouldn't mind him doing a Nathan Merritt following the ball up the middle.

Look - I wanted both Gards & Gordon in the team intitially - said it on numerous occasions.

But Gordon has to be fullback now, full stop, no discussion. He's not only awesome, but with Ricky out Ryan is the only FG player in our backline right now.

I'm starting to wonder about Gards on the wing...

Based on current injuries and the fact we are desperate and need changes and try things at least once to get our attack going

1. Gordon
2. B.Ryan
3. Boogs
4. Mills
5. J. Wright
6. Lewis
7. Robbo
8. Gallen
9. JMO
10. Fifita

You are as bad as Flanagan. That team is basically the same **** we trot out every week. Way to mix things up. You just can't let Robson go can you? Just about everyone in here knows he is b grade standard. I've refrained from commenting in here but I'm not going to say I told most of you so...but I told most of you so. Special mention to B&B, Dier, Samshark, Snowman and Sharkyboy who have been with me all along. Mark Bastard is starting to see the light as well...come to the dark side Mark Bastard.

And personally I was hoping I was wrong about Flano but I'm not. Not only is he a terrible football coach who can't adapt or improve players he is a mental gummy bear. FFS, blaming the investigation (you were head coach when it all happened Flano) and still whining about Irvine (the bloke who basically saved our club) is classless and shows a lot about his character and intelligence.

I don't think it's that people can't let Robson go, it's just that there isn't anybody to replace him with. I haven't seen the ****storm that was the Eels game, but from most people's reports Chad is nothing to write home about, so if you have to choose you just have to go with experience. Robbo's average but to his credit he keeps calm when **** gets tough and he has actually pulled us through a few tight ones in the past. I'm not sure that Chad would have these qualities and we've got no one else, so it's just gotta be Robson.

Chad is playing out of position and has never had the chance to play with Carney to take the pressure off him. Robson even makes Carney half the player he could be due to his lack of creativity and **** kicking game. Even if at most Chad equals Robson the nod should go to Chad for the future. Halfback's don't grow on tree's these days. You have to develop one.

On that note I would be open to seeing Chad alongside Carney a couple of times.

I like the look of your side except I am not a fan of Stapleton any longer. I just reckon we have to play Gardner somewhere.

This has been my point all along, unfortunately most don't understand this.
Good point, Chad has to have a go alongside Carney. Robson is not our future. If Chad is no good, then we need to look for someone else.

That's right, even if Townsend doesn't turn out to be any good it's really no worse than having Robson there. Robson gives 100% every week but just isn't good enough.

Lol I wonder if I left Robbo out would you be commenting differently on my team?

You say the team is basically the same?

Lewis at 5/8, Wade at lock, Gallen to prop, Bukuya to centre, Taga to start in the backrow. Similar players yes but the same lineup - hardly. This would change the dynamics of the team. Robbo had to do all the work on Saturday cause Chad didn't step up. Don't give me this playing out of position stuff, time and time again Chad has struggled to take a FG game by the scruff of it's neck as a halfback. I would like to see what he can do with Carney beside him but Robbo and Carney have already built a decent pairing and I don't see the need to mess with that until our season is well and truly gone.
If you want to flood the team with NSW Cup and Holden cup players with little or no FG experience, be my guest. I still want us to have the best shot at making the 8.

I also suggested P.Sharp be given the reins without Flannos involvement (I know that's fantasy and it won't happen but Flanno's coaching isn't working consistently so on that point it seems we agree)

Btw I'm pretty sure Snowman called Chad an overrated ball sack just yesterday.

Chad hasn't played a first grade game at halfback since 2011 when he was still a nyc player and wasn't expected to take the game by the scruff of the neck. Robson has played nearly 100 first grade games and how many of them has he taken by the scruff of the neck ?

All you did was shuffle the deck chairs. Where is the inclusion of a few talented juniors to add talent and enthusiasm to a stale aging team? I am seriously thinking that you are Robson, Robsons dad or Robsons de-facto. When Chad played last year he was better than Robson despite your delusion. And you may not think there is a difference between 6 and 7 but there is. I've played both. Chad is a 7. A better 7 than Robson. Snowman hacks on him which he is entitled to do and I rate his opinion way over yours but you go with a player with more upside. Robson reminds me of a three legged dog wanting to play catch with the able bodied dogs.

If our juniors had the sound defensive ability to go with their speed and attacking prowress I would be more inclined to throw them in. The tries that were scored against us out wide on Sat night really concerned me. I have taken Poms out and def not putting M.Wright in there. 2 of our serial offenders when it comes to positional defense. FFS just playing Gallen at prop would make a difference to this side.

The bit about being Robson did make me laugh I must admit though hahah :D

I'm happy for Chad to take the reins once Robbo is moved on but IMO Robbo is still contributing to the team and Chad is a big unknown as a consistent FG performer. Yes he had some decent games in 2011/2012 here and there.

Robbo's career is at the back end and he isn't going to get better but I think we should utilise him while we have him although if Flanno signs him for next year and beyond I would probably want him moved away from half and playing more of a depth role.

The thing is Chad hasn't been setting the world on fire in NSW Cup even with a quality 5/8 in Finch. He hasn't threatened Robsons position at all.

Whether you want to face it or not Robson is playing better than Chad. I also think you'll find out how important Robsons quality defense really is in the team if you play two poor defensive halfs in Townsend and Carney.

I'm all for giving Townsend a shot with Carney but Chad hasn't earned it based on this years performances, plus I think it'll be a disaster. But hey if he does get a shot with Carney and turns out to be a dud it'll be Flannos fault anyway right?
