well maybe the club could put something on to appeal to 20 -30 age group to keep more of them at the club after games. years ago there used to be a players presentation for all grades in the club. plus in the main auditorium they put on good bands after saturday night games.
It got moved back to the main auditorium last year. After wins last year the club (ground floor) was packed with all ages, you couldn't fit too many more in.

The bottom bar under the PB stand isnt open after the game any more is it? (The bar which serves beers duing the game). They could have something going on down there straight after the game. Sort of night clubish.

compare a crowd of 4k ( if that ) to 16k, add in the fact Manly the scum bags were giving out free memberships. Can't compete with free stuff.

Plus it was a trial match, it was a bastard of a time I left Homebush at 3pm, took me 50 min to get there. most major routes coming from shire etc are clogged as before 5pm. not much point leaving home.

They should have televised it or broadcast on radio.

Mate i left rhodes at 520 got there just before 7 horrible place to get to

I think we need to really focus on our younger fans. Give them a reason to make a night out at the game.

I believe there are some licensing restrictions in this regard. Not to say they couldn't have something going on down there. Just that it's my understanding that due to the separate and vastly different licenses between the Club and the Stadium they aren't allowed to traffic people directly from the ground into the that part of the Club post game.
Everyone has to go in through the front doors. Ofcourse it makes RSA much easier to handle too.

Young people are pretty simple things...

Guys go out looking to meet girls.

Girls go out looking to meet guys.

Sometimes, guys go out looking to meet other guys and girls go out to meet other girls.

When they go out, most people at least try to look attractive.

They like to eat nice food, have a drink and socialise with a view to meeting someone.

We have to work out a way that we can provide a venue and entertainment for that to happen.

The socialising expectations and options of young people is far more sophisticated than when I was young but the basic motivators are still there.

It has to be sexy to go to the footy.

You'd know a lot more about this than I but is there a provision under the licensing laws for somewhere like the Summertime Bar to be covered by the Stadium's license on game days but revert back to Leagues Club licensing for the rest of the time?

It would be very easy to just block off access via the internal stairs.

besides the team winning games, we need some form of promotion to get people to the grounds each week

and if its the young people you are targeting, how bout if the clun opened a nightclub inside sharkies and on game nights if you attened the game you recieve free entry to the nightclub and your first drink is free

Though I've always understood it, I've always thought it's pretty poor form that the team has to be winning for the crowd to really get behind the boys. That should be a given in my opinion. Oh well, everyone supports in their own way.
