Hopes And Expectations For 2011

sorry samshark, you lost me once you said "one of the best players in the NRL the last two years"

soward is one of the best in the NRL over the last 2 yrs for
1) kicking long
2) kicking to open space
3) kick metres gained

i can be a smart arse & say all the other things he is one of the best for, eg,
1) being a speed bump
2) wooping it up in the 70min mark of games when he knows the dragons will win
etc etc etc

All of the above, also hes well protected on the wing in defence, he directs the team around the park well.

OK - he looks like a smurf, hes got some sort of ocd tick in his goal kicking routine, he plays for our arch rivals, his estrogen levels are high etc etc but hes been well coached and bennett has used his strengths, like his kicking, to win a premiership for them.

Hornby and Soward were the most consistent halves pairing for the last two years. That what's got St Merge the title.

i hope flanagan gets coach of the year and really shows he has more than what it takes..

I hope our first half of the year is good enough to get us more free to air games in the 2nd half of the year.

I expect that all of the skeletons are out of the closet for the club so next year will will have no negative media all year - no suprise drunks... players off target.. management screw ups etc etc..

I expect jeremy smith to bring a winning attitude to our club and have a huge impact...

I hope i will make some cash betting on the sharks for the first time in memory!

No frills?? thats a bit harsh. Love him or hate him Soward has been one of the best players in the NRL the last two years and Hornby is a very good player full stop. Those two guys can take a lot of credit for the dragons success.

I didn't say they were bad, did I? They are a solid combo but not electrifying, hence "no-frills". No-frills isn't a bad thing, it is often a safer option than going for all the bells and whistles.

At the end of the day, neither Soward or Hornby were representative players in 2010. (Soward will never be)

I hope the Sharks win the 2011 premiership/I expect them to be contending for a playoff spot and possibly winning one.

I hope Wade Graham and Albert Kelly become the best young halves pairing in the comp/I expect Flanno to give them a run at some point during the season.

I hope that Jamie Soward meets a painful death/I expect the Goons won't repeat as premiership winners.

I hope we win more than we lose.
I hope every Saturday night is dry as I like to get drunk at the footy and saturday night is my best night to do so.
I hope we don't need to rely on our halves and that we score most of our tries from our centres putting our speedy young wingers into space.
I hope Blake Fergo has a nasty head collision with Billy Slater and rules them both out for the season.
I hope it really hurts.
I hope Greg Bird messes up again and is kicked out of the comp for good.

I expect to be dissappointed regarding some of my hopes.

No matter what happens this year Cronulla should have improvement. Potentialwe have one of the best packs in the league. All we need is for the backs to click together. If Flanagan can coach the backs to score tries we should do well

hope:like every 1 else here that our halves really gel this year whoever there gunna be
expect:if our halves fail that we do watever it takes 2 get a first class 6 or 7 for 2012
hope:we sign luke pickerd up 4 a longer deal as i watched him play against my brother in law and was pretty much untouchable
expect:us 2 be competitive in every match this year no matter where we finish
hope:hope that we can make the finals this year and hopefully win it
