Ok a few things here Flanno.
• I dont want Haarland because I dont want another Mino Raiola client. Also Haarland will be moving clubs every two or three years to line Mino’s pockets so whats the ****ing point. He’s just a cash cow that Mino will use for agent fees. They’ve pretty much admitted this already.
• My issue is more with the United fans who are teeing off on Ronaldo for making a move to the only club thats willing to make him an offer.
• There is definitely room for Ronaldo at United. Cavani will definitely not play every week and having Ronaldo there can only strengthen Greenwood’s education. United will be playing A LOT of games this year, so there will be opportunities for all if Ole learns to rotate his squad. I want Greenwood leading the line as first choice in 22/23, fortified by the wisdom passed on by Cavani and Ronaldo. While a few weeks ago I would of taken or left Ronaldo, I’d rather us get him then severely strengthen a bitter rival.
• Sancho should of happened last window, the deal was a piece of piss this window as most of the details were already in place. The money was still set aside, the terms were the same, the only difference was the fee for Dortmund. It should of happened last year and it was a tap in this year.
• Varane was admittedly a great deal. But it only interested the Glazer’s because they needed to move shirt sales with the new sponsor. The sponsors were furious with the Glazer’s for the fan unrest. I doubt they even know what position he plays.
• No it isn’t a good window for United because they still haven’t addressed what has been the biggest hole in the lineup. CDM. If that isn’t addressed, the window is a 6 or 7 out of 10 at best.
• Flanno with all due respect, your looking at this from the outside, so you don’t really know what your talking about. Your not taking into consideration that the Glazers are still the only owners in the Premier League to be taking dividends out of the club, after they saddled it with crippling debt to line their own pockets. They hadn’t spent a cent on Old Trafford which is falling into a state of disrepair until they were basically bullied into it by the fans and every decision they have made regarding United has primarily served to line their own pockets at the expense of the football side of the club. They run the club like a ****ing bank, not a football club. ALSO DON’T FORGET THEY TRIED TO PUT US IN THE ****ING SUPER LEAGUE WITH THE SOLE PURPOSE TO MAKE THEMSELVES MUCH MUCH RICHER. As a Liverpool fan I thought you’d understand the enormity of that.
• Also when did I remove any responsibility on Ole? Although he has not been given the midfielder he needs to challenge the top teams, he does constantly do head scratching things like ignore Van De Beek, pick the McTominay/Fred pivot even though it turns our back 4 into a back 6, and he has no idea how to use his subs bench. If we finish outside the top 4 he deserves to be sacked. But until that board and owners are removed we will keep following the same cycle no matter who’s managing the club.

You say Haaland will move every few years, so what's the point but then Ronaldo is only going to be around a for a couple more seasons at best too considering he is 37 in February? Haaland therefore has more chance of staying longer than Ronaldo, is arguably a better player now than Ronaldo and will help you to win trophies. So there are a lot of reasons. Plus you can sell him at a profit in a few years, once he inveitably goes to Real Madrid.

I am aware of your boards issues & I can understand why you want them out but I don't think this instance (not signing Ronaldo) is one to blame them for. Not many clubs are interested in signing Ronaldo. Why do we think that is? Because he is 36, has a very high salary and doesn't work hard on the pitch. Yes he guarantees you goals, but he doesn't guarantee you trophies as has been proven by Juve failing to win CL since he has gone there & also not winning Serie A for the first time in 9 years. Juve actually went backwards since signing Ronaldo. He will probably do quite well at City because they always have the ball and create a lot of chances, but time will tell...

I think City's owners who happen to be Sheikh (just like PSG's owners) are making this signing as a statement after PSG signed Messi. City were gunning for Kane, but once they realised that wasn't going to happen they have seen an opportunity with Ronaldo and gone for it.

As I said, I want Greenwood leading the line as first choice in 22/23. True Haarland might be here for longer then Ronaldo, but then you’ve got to deal with Raiola. Once Pogba goes at the end of the year I do not want United dealing with that rodent Raiola ever again.

I agree Ronaldo is just a statement signing by City. Somehow I don’t think this is a Pep signing, I’m surprised he hasn’t pushed back at it to be honest.

Yep agree he's not a Pep signing, no way.

Speaking of Pep he has come out and revealed that he's definitely leaving City at the end of his contract (which expires in 2023).

LOL he’s going to United after all that. Pretty sure twitter just crashed with all the deleted tweets from angry United fans.

This all makes for a very open and cracking PL race…

City- Favourites but have only signed Grealish who is looking more like a KDB replacement at the moment because he’s always injured. No recognised striker. Fans back will level the field a bit too because City benefited last year as they are used to no atmosphere

Utd- signed massively, particularly if you get Ronaldo. In that case there is no excuses not to challenge for the title

Liverpool- Surely won’t have injury problems like last season and a packed Anfield again is going to be a massive boost

Chelsea- signed Lukaku and looks like Kounde on his way too

Spurs- will be much more solid and together under Nuno , Kane sticking around too

Then there’s the likes of Leicester, West Ham, Everton knocking on the door of the top 4

As for Arsenal, well they are the West Tigers of the EPL

United are still a CDM short of challenging for the title I keep telling you that. Even with Ronaldo.

A couple of dominoes might be falling as a result of this deal.
• Leicester are set to make another offer for Dan James
• Edison Cavani is getting sick of all the quarantine procedures in the UK as its set to interrupt his season quite a bit when he plays for Uruguay. There is now talk that there will be a mutual contract termination and he will return full time to South America.

You have enough firepower to get by without a proper CDM and challenge for the title mate, seriously... Bruno, Ronaldo, Greenwood, Cavani (if he stays), Sancho, Rashford...

Start playing DVB for starters, he can be that guy. City don't even have a proper striker, yet the are favourites to win it so I'm not buying into this "We don't have a CDM so we can't challenge for the title".

Then watch us ****ing play without a proper defensive CDM. Its why he uses ****ing Fred and McTominay to do the job that only guy should be doing and its why he plays a back ****ing 6. Van De Beek is criminally underused but hes not a defensive CDM, he’s a box to box midfielder. We run the midfield best when he uses Matic and either VDB or Pogba in the box to box role, problem is Matic cant play every week because of his age and is barely mobile as it is. I would give my left nut for a 27 year old Matic in this team.

I like you Flanno, but you are wrong.

Poor goalkeeping by Woodman, really poor. I thought Utd were very vulnerable at the back but you’ve definitely got a lot of fire power going forward

A better 6 to help conduct the game would help fix that. Not saying Matic was poor, he was actually quite good, but he’s not really mobile and he cant play every week. What I wouldn’t give for a 27-28 year old Matic anchoring that midfield.

thatbtackle on harvey elliott was pathetic

hopefully leeds go down and never come back up

Was legit about to come in here and post “Harvey Elliot aye? Ooof, nasty”. I never want to see that happen to a young footballer, irrelevant who he plays for.

Leeds fans were singing “always the victims” when Harvey was being stretchered off. Classy bunch…..

Devastating for the youngster, he was really starting to make a name for himself. I hope we see him again this season, but that seems unlikely!
