not as bad as your club

Debt is still debt. You should be more worried Manuare is one of the most supported clubs, the amount of trophy supporters out there being 7 ronaldo shirts, use make like 2 mil per home game ( Pounds) and use are still in debt.

Both clubs are not interested in paying off the debt. They're just servicing the interest. The overall debt at both clubs has actually increased since both takeovers. Utd have twice as much debt as the vermin, but the banks are a bit more edgy about Liverpool's ability to pay it back. The Glazers are just looking to make the interest payments till around 2014 when the debt gets called in, at which point they will probably float the club back on the stockmarket and sell over a billion pounds worth of shares, pay off the £700 mill the club owe and walk away with a £300+ mill profit. As for Hicks and Gillett, I think they are desperate to sell - to pretty much anyone who will remove the millstone from around their necks. As Peach has said, they're looking for a sugar daddy Arab to bail them out.
At the end of the day, football over here is a f***in vipers nest of greed and avarice and in a few years time, the big clubs in England, Spain, Italy and the rest of Europe will break away and form a super league and the experience of away days to Fulham and Sunderland will be a thing of the past. Apparently Valencia have accepted Liverpools bid for Juan Mata, its just up to him if he wants to come to Liverpool. He is young only 21 big move from Spain to England.

Apparently Gojko Kacar will sign for Liverpool in the next few days. I know Man U were chasing this guy pretty hard.

Of course these are just rumours all over the forums thought I would post them here, cant hurt.

How ever these ones are confirmed:
Matías De Federico put in a 3.5 mil dollar bid for this guy, its official. Been linked to coming to the EPL for quite a while, Arsenal and Villa were after him in January.

Madrid have signed Benzema for 35 mil ( Euros ). HAHAH suck on that one Man u!!!!

Liverpool have sold Leto for 3 mil to some Greek side.

real madrid are giving me the sh!ts..bloody sepp blatter accused the EPL of ruining football with there spending (f*cktard hates england) but has said nothing about Real Madrid spending close to 200 million euros on 3 players, will be well above 300 mill when the finish

hope the players that go to madrid end up ruining there careers just to teach them a lesson and that 3/4 of the money real claim to have does not exist..f*cken government run club

barcalona will still smash them

6 years :nodlaugh career over..

In all honesty peach, though I would have fancied Benzema at OT, he has always said that he really wanted to go to Madrid for a few years now and we never made a bid for him anyway. (probably because we knew he only wanted to go to Real)
I'm a little surprised at Madrids' transfer policy though. You would have thought a couple of good defenders and a holding midfielder or two might be wiser acquisitions after the way Barca and even the vermin made them look like dills last season.

They are going heavily for Alonso, offered 35 mil and we knocked it back, I personally wouldn't be happy wiht him leaving unless we get 50+

It's up to Alonso really though isn't it Dier? If Ronny had wanted to stay at OT we would never have accepted any offer for him. He wanted to go to Real, so off he went. Benzema wanted Madrid, so off he went. Ribery has now apparently come out and said he wants to leave Bayern, but only for - you guessed it, Madrid. Alonso has set a deadline of mid July to get his future sorted out. I'm not saying he's unhappy at 'pool, but I'm guessing his head may be turning a little bit at the thought of the new galacticos.
Effectively, I think that this mad spending by Real and Man City to an extent, is simply ushering in even more quickly a European League.
That's life...

Well if Alonso does want to go, we can surely still say we want this much for him.

Man u get your hands of Owen. If he goes to Manure I will be devastated, and loss all respect for him. Even Tevez has enough respect to not go to Liverpool out of the rivalry between us and you guys.

I think that its a little more than paper talk. The no comments from both Man u and Owen has me a little worried. Surely he has to be the most heartless player of all time. Leaving liverpool by lying about his contract so Real juust have to offer 8 mil for him. Then pickin Man u to go to for free our biggest rival. Low act.

his contract will be more heavily incentive based then karl filiga's, thats IF he passes a medical test

champions league football vs no european football/europa cup

Hmmmm... yes that's true to a point. As I say, he doesn't seem to be unhappy at cess'pool and if they dig their toes in for more money, he may well decide to just stay and get on with it. The problem arises if he decides that he WANTS to join the brave new world at (get) Real and demands a move. You're then left with a player who doesn't want to be about and risk having an unsettling presence in the dressing room if you keep him against his will. It's situations like that, that force your hand a bit on the money issue. Add that to the fact that there's still a little unease at Analfield over finances and paying interest on the debt, the owners may just take what they can get.
One of the issues here is that players are taxed 50% of their income here in the UK, but only 25% in Spain. If you're on £100,000 a week, it's a no brainer.

Done deal I'm afraid Dier. Got the news here about 7.30pm Friday night. Barring any unforseen hiccups, Owen is a UTD player next season. Opinion is pretty divided about whether it's a good idea or not. Let's face it, he was never really LOVED at 'pool was he? Not the same way 'blobby' Fowler was.
I'm willing to see how it works out before passing judgement. I must admit, there is a part of me that can't resist grinning at the idea of Owen in a UTD shirt lifting the Premiership trophy next May. Now, THAT would really destroy the vermin. :D:D:D:D:D

P.S. As for Tevez and respect. Well, he's done nothing but whine since leaving and he's gone to City (bitter rivals) for a shed load of cash. I think he's got a funny idea of respect. Much as I admired the bloke when he played for us, it all leaves a bit of a sour taste in the mouth now. :loser:

I know for a fact we were after Tevez pretty hard and he told us no because he would not go to Man u biggest rival ( I count us as your biggest rival, city is more of a derby thing IMO) Now Owen has gone straight to Man u, you talk about a bit of a sour taste in your mouth, I want to be sick.

Even past players like Cisse, Baros said they would never join Uniter or Everton because they have a past at Anfield, Owen is 'suppose' to be a Liverpool legend so how could he do this

well hello Mr Owen

forget it dier, once you go to real madrid your never the same, also the fact it was United vs stoke/hull..hmm touch decision

free transfer > pay as you play > minimum wage nothing huge > if he fails > ship him off somewhere in the summer for a million or 2

he will be good for a few goals and will be great for us in the carling cup, but i hope he kills it and relegates berbatoss to the bench

Owen, who finalised his move on Friday after a day of talks with Sir Alex Ferguson at United’s Carrington training ground, admitted he agreed to the move “without a moment’s thought”.
