He'd buy a football club because he has the urge to play Football Manager for a bit, not to put people who know what they are doing in charge
We already have the people who know what they are doing in charge but we don’t operate with the financial means of others.

Rashford at Utd would be Liverpool’s second highest paid player after Salah. Utd pay him more than we pay VVD

Dunno what you could possibly be basing that on! It's almost like you're saying he has an ego.

Looks like Man United have activated the option to extend Maguire’s contract. I’m not as upset about this as I thought I would be. He’s been the biggest beneficiary of United’s move to a back 3, that system suits him to a tee. He’s been ok in the middle of that back 3. Himself, De Ligt and Martinez seem to be the way forward at least in the short term, I still feel like Maguire’s keeping the seat warm for Yoro though, I think United are doing a great job of slowly integrating him into the team. I thought his cameo against Liverpool was very good.

well after both have copped a fair of criticism this season, the heroes today are Bayindir and Zirkzee. Well played lads.
Now for Christ's sake, let's start winning some league games..

God I hate Arsenal, mostly because of Arteta. He is such a sore loser. After Carabao Cup he was making excuses about the ball, against Utd he has been salty about how they were the much better team and deserved to win. Well yeah, you played 60 minutes with an extra man, you should have won.

They also play the ugliest style of football and are so reliant on set pieces. If Liverpool dont win the title, I would prefer anyone to them at this point.

Also I was hoping Arsenal would win here so they would have more fixtures, but Utd let me down again

Being an Arsenal fan I hate to say it to everyone here haha, but we'll done United, you guys deserved that win, the young keeper did a great job deserved motm.

In saying that, I've purely had enough of Arteta now, it's time for him to go. Got us back to playing slow sideways backward passing easy to defend, he doesn't have a plan B. Got too much faith in our very thin front line, Havertz in particular who's got to go aswell. Can't even get a shot in from right in front. He spends over & over in our backline but never bothers with our frontline lol.

We've got 3 injuries in our already thin front line & still says "no, we don't need a striker" when asked about a front line signing hahaha 🤣🤣🤣.

I don't think he's that bad haha, got more unlikeable players, former players & managers out there then him but he certainly doesn't know much about managing lol. Pretty sure someone like Mourinho is a bit more hated then Arteta 🤣🤣

On the positive for Arsenal & not United, at least that's less games for us to worry about haha. 3 games in a week is a bit much considering our thin squad we've got, soon we'll only have the PL & CL to worry about, we'll be knocked out of the Caraboa cup soon aswell I'd say. Will give Saka less games missing him for now which is good. We are really missing him I think.

Well considering the Euro spots in the league are basically out of reach for is this season, we need the distractions of cup football. 😂🫤☹️🥲😭

I think we can still reach top 4 this season & CL, definitely won't win the title playing this slow football & relying on set pieces but 3/4 of the teams we can still beat. Just need Saka & Nwaneri back.

You definitely need a striker no doubt about that. However, there seems to be a real shortage of quality strikers going around at the moment. Lots of the great attackers tend to be goalscoring wingers now.

Looking at the big sides in the EPL, many could do with a great striker.

Utd - don’t have a quality striker, Holjund has some potential but he’s more a long term project
Liverpool - don’t have a quality striker, I’m done with Darwin and Jota/Diaz aren’t natural strikers
Arsenal- don’t have a quality striker
Chelsea- don’t have a quality striker- Jackson is ok, but not what you need to win a title imo
Spurs- don’t have a quality striker- Solanke is decent but see Jackson

For me the 3 best strikers in the league are

City- Haaland
Newcastle- Isak
Villa- Watkins

Others that are maybe ready for the step up to a big side are Cunha and Delap.

Wood is going well this season but he’s outperforming his level and will drop off before long you’d imagine.

I think Josh Maja could be moving on from us, yes he’s Championship but he’s second top goal scorer in the League and is skillful and can hold the ball up well.

You might not think him PL calibre but then I saw Delap was mentioned who did not set the world on fire in his Championship stints. Maja is better than him. Wouldn’t cost a PL club the world either.

Delap is someone who I think if he gets a move to a bigger club he could take off and leave other clubs wishing they bought him, similar to how Palmer has. He is only 21 years old and has 8 goals in 19 for a club in relegation zone with no penalties. That’s a pretty good effort and he came through the City system scoring goals for fun.

His stats for the youth team at City were

U21s- 72 games - 70 goals, 18 assists
U18s- 28 games - 18 goals, 13 assists
Total: 100 games, 88 goals, 31 assists

Would love Liverpool to sign him.

Can’t say I have seen too much of Maja, who is he linked with?

I do recall Maja briefly playing in the PL and seeming like a talent but then he disappeared
