Antony potentially emerging as a genuine RWB option is not something I was expecting at all. He’s only had cameos there, but his link up play with Amad in the derby was very good. Theres still a long way back for him as a Man United player but at least he’s put his foot in the door.

Just as well Liverpool didn’t go with Klopp’s assistant (Pep Lljinders) as our head coach, as many fans wanted the club to do. He has now been sacked from RB Salzburg after a terrible start to the season and was sacked from his previous head coach role after 12 months too

Oh, never mind then.

I think this game showed that Utd and Spurs desperately need better back up keepers

Felt a bit bad for Bayindir. Not all of that was his fault. Martinez missed the clearance on one of them, and he was fouled for the fourth goal. He had a bad game, but it wasn’t as horrific as people are making out.

Look im not too cut up about going out in the Quarters. As long as this Cup insists on having the two legged semi finals then its more trouble then its worth, especially now the Europa League has more fixtures then ever, and thats a cup we should be taking seriously. I mean ETH won both the Leagues Cup and the FA Cup and where did that get him? I’ll be beyond delighted if we successfully defend the FA Cup and last years final against Man City was absolutely amazing, but with where we are in the league and how crucial it is for us to do well in the Europa League, the FA Cup might have to take a backseat this time around, use it blood guys like Amass, Martin, Ogunneye, Collyer, Gore, Lacey and Wheatley.

The Ridge!
There are rumours around that SouthHampton are looking to poach our manager. Really hope this is not true.

Should’ve done better for the first I think too, parried it straight back in Solanke’s path. Even if he wasn’t fouled it looked to me like he had lost track of the ball for that 4th goal. As for Martinez, I used to think he was good but he has been pretty **** this year imo.

I still think it’s best to go for all the cups, it is so hard to win the league and Europe, playing for top 4 every year, what’s the point if not going to win any trophies. Key is to have the depth in your squad to rotate in order to sustain the multiple competitions push, which Utd don’t quite have yet. That being said, your youth team is 10 wins from 10, smashing all sorts of records so you would hope that a couple of them will eventually integrate into the squad.

Agree with you that the two leg semi is dumb though, just play it at Wembley and be done with it.

I was hoping to get Spurs in the final because I really want Ange to win a trophy and at least that way I would be guaranteed to be happy with either Liverpool or spurs winning. But semis it is!

Forster has been good covering for Vicario, just had a few bad moments with the ball at his feet and Ange wants them playing out from the back as much as possible instead of just booting it up field.

I will say Forster was too casual on both those mistakes though. He's late 30's so prob won't be in the EPL that much longer anyway. Gave us a hell of a game though, Spurs almost went full Spursy

I don't know why Onana wasn't playing (he got mistakes in him too) but I think United's 3rd choice keeper is rated better? By some of their fans anyway.

I think Top 4/5 is all about the cash and playing champions league that's why clubs and fans are so obsessed about it.

I don't think Martinez was fouled as his hand came up to the Spurs player and not the other way around - that's the theory on why it was let go anyway. Gutsy call by the ref considering where the game was at and often even incidental contact is pulled up. Martinez was expecting the ball to be further out into the box too so got caught back peddling when Son curled it in tight.

I don't mind the 2 leg semi's, gives a team a second chance after getting this far in the comp and if they have a one off stinker away from home or whatever and gives both teams a chance with a home game but you have to make up any goal difference ofcourse.

Spurs will be hoping Liverpools focus remains on the EPL and that they don't play full strength. Spurs need to get more players back fit as well. They are very inconsistent with a make shift squad you don't know if they are going to turn up and play like Barcelona or Plumbers FC.

Spurs never get blown away though, just drop or draw some games they are expected to win but few will be expecting them to get a result against Liverpool, especially away. Ange looked so happy and relived after a rough month, I hope he can go all the way but it would be very Spursy to get past the Pool and lose to Newcastle or Gunners in the final

If they are going to do that, should be for FA cup and not carabao cup.

But I prefer it not at all, keep it for champions league. There are enough games already and just makes it harder for a lower placed team to win it
