Spurs don't have much depth, having key players out was always going to undo them in the short to medium term. This was speculated months ago.

van de Ven is a big out as well

They are stuck until transfer window. This isn't really Ange's team yet but the players he did bring in Vacario, VDV & Maddison have all been top class some of the best players in their positions across the league. They were relatively cheap as far as EPL signings go as well.

Seems like Ange won't budge on his philosophy sticking with an aggressive high line even if he is up a goal or down players due red cards (like last week against Chelsea)

Even so his last 2 games he has lost at the back end of the game not the start

He is playing the long game here to instill his vision and structures into the players and club no compromise. It will pay off in the future.
His first season at Celtic had some rough games too.

His players have already bought in and believe in the direction they are going it's just about smoothing over some rough edges and bringing in more quality players.

Ange is having a bit of a Fitz 2022 coaching season except Ange 100% knows what he is doing and has the track record to prove it.
Nay sayers saying it wont work in the EPL quickly forget Spurs were undefeated and top of the table up until 2 weeks ago.

And even then it took red cards and injuries to undo him. I don't think there is another coach in the EPL or further abroad that would have Spurs sitting in what is still a strong position at present nor with so much upside to come.

I see Brighton have placed a £115m price tag on Evan Ferguson. As ridiculous as that sounds, knowing Brighton they’ll probably get it too.

Look, im happy to banter Everton for losing those points, but the fact that they’re losing points and Man City aren’t is egregious. Corruption at its most obvious.

What happened?
I don’t know the ins and outs but they’ve been docked 10 points (dropping to second last) due to financial fair play breaches and everywhere I’ve seen it the overwhelming response is now City have to get smashed (seen Chelsea mentioned too, but always City) otherwise it’s basically corruption to just hit a comparably weaker team

Edit: dbj confirms Chelsea need to be mentioned too haha

Pretty funny to get busted but still have a **** team hahaha - like our ASADA seasons

It's interesting that the Financial Fair Play rules pertain to a limit on financial loss and not financial expenditure. Everton spent money on a new stadium for instance which was part of the problem.

But if you are not making a loss beyond the set limit what's to stop you just doing a City and bank rolling a gun team with Saudi Oil money and making sure you don't sell too many players for a loss in the future?

Guess the rule is there to stop clubs sending themselves broke but not necessarily facilitate an even and fair comp in terms of spend on talent. I wasn't aware City were found guilty of a stack of breaches last season. Punishment must have just been fines or something.

I have learnt just now that League 1 & 2 teams essentially have a salary cap in place limiting player spending to a set % of overall club revenue.

They haven’t really been punished.

The Ridge!
Another win for my Baggies this morning, making it 8 wins in the last 11 games. Defeated Cardiff 1-0 away in Cardiff. Up to 3rd now and slowly closing the gap on Ipswich in 2nd place, who we also beat 2-0 last week.
Big game this Saturday against Leicester who are in 1st place, 10 points in front of us.

If you get a chance to see the highlights, have a look at the goal we scored this morning. Jeremy Sarmiento, on loan from Brighton, took a shot from out wide and curled it past the keeper at the far post. Stunning goal!
